- In this 4K video you will see a compilation / collection of police cars and motorcycles responding lights and siren (and some with the electronic horn) to emergencies in Naples, Collier County, Florida, Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New York, London, England, Paris, France and Liverpool, England. You will see Ford Police Interceptor Utilities of the New York Police Department (NYPD), the Boston Police Department (BPD), the Boston Transit Police, the Massachusetts State Police, Cambridge Massachusetts Police as well as a Ford Taurus (Police Interceptor Sedan) of the Collier County Sheriff's Office. There's also a couple NYPD Mercedes Benz vans (Badged as Freightliner) and a couple Harley Davidson Road King motorcycles of the Boston Transit Police during some festivities in Boston. ;) There's a convoy of police cars and vans of the French National Police in Paris at the end. These police cars are responding lights and sirens to emergencies. I believe the Boston Police are using the Federal Signal Unitrol Touchmaster siren.

I love the Boston police they’re super nice me and my friend were scooting so we waved to a cop he waved back and put on his sirens and our harbor patrol police boats are very nice too! They waved to us as well!

Nice Video! Whats the difference between only blue lights and red/blue lights in the USA? Or just local preferences? Greetings from Germany
Each state determines it's own emergency vehicle lighting laws.
Every state decides what color combination to use for their first responders. In the majority of the USA we use red+ blue but there are also plenty of states that use only blue, another example is New York their State Police uses red lights only where as in other states usually only EMS/Fire Department has RED/White combo.
It's municipal preference. Even in states with an overwhelming number of municipalities using a red/blue system for their Police vehicles you'll see the odd city/town using all blues or reds. Connecticut for example is a red/blue state where blue is reserved for the personal vehicles of Volunteer firefighters, yet the city of Hamden uses all blues for their police vehicles.

In some of these, namely the NY clips, you could see how even though responders have permission to ignore signals, they get stuck behind others waiting on red. Most intersections in San Francisco have transponders that shorten the red phase upon detecting an emergency vehicle. Does anyone know if other cities have that? They should. A similar concept also exists for buses to reduce service delays
I know this is an old comment however it'll definitely depend on the city. Where I live thats a thing, though for any emergency vehicle the lights change when they approach so they always have right of way. This actually happened to me yesterday, I was waiting at a red and a fire truck was approaching from behind, so the lights changed and gave me both an advanced left and green (4 way intersection). That being said, the cities around me dont have this system. Its really hit or miss as it can be very expensive

Crown Vic is a true icon.. They haven't been produced for 7 years now, but yet most agencies still use them and whenever anyone sees one, first automatic thought is, cop. I wish Ford kept the Crown Vic, most reliable and iconic squad car ever.

It's strange, I believe the siren is a Smart-Signal but with the Touchmaster Delta Hi-Lo tone. Not sure why FS suddenly decided to make it an option on the Smart but hey, it works and sounds cool.

Federal Signal Touchmaster Delta priority/hi lo tone, although the yelp and wail sound more like a Federal Signal Smart Siren, so I'm not entirely sure.
I think it's the Federal Signal Unitrol Touchmaster.
Its actually the SSP3000 but with unitrol tones because they stopped making unitrol models

For this kind of work where we're out in the street moving around a lot I would recommend a dedicated video camera, preferably one with a strong optical image stabilization such as the Sony Balanced Optical Steadyshot where the lens is floating in a gimble. The 7D is a GREAT camera though. ;)
Absolutely - it has the perks of point and shoot but with fantastic quality. The 7D absolutely menaces photos, but really isn't a video camera. The AF is fantastic - BUT only for what it is - the Sony has the true upper hand and the 4K quality is fantastic. If I had the budget I'd have one too purely for the video work.

Sorry for the late comment that riot is in Boston Massachusetts it looks like I live there I never heard of this riot but the way I can tell is that those cops with the blue uniforms are Massachusetts state police troopers and troopers in riot gear and the way I can also tell is that those motorcycles with the blue livery is in Massachusetts or the state police or Boston PD but the huge truck is a transport vehicle for Boston PD

Sometimes it's called the Touchmaster Delta. I'm not sure of the difference. You can find videos on YT of people cycling through the different tones and you can hear this one. It's probably my favorite tone.
