That angle you look like you are 5' 7" like me lol. In Chicago groceries are coming back down to normal prices and no big shortages either. I hope it stays that way. Great model car finds.
I can't believe that people live in places where you are not free to put up an antenna. Are flag poles OK? You could use a flag pole for an antenna. I have four CB radios. I have the Galaxy DX 959 that I will be installing into the Blazer soon along with a 35 watt amplifier. I also have a little hand held unit that I carry in case someone else in the group needs one. Then I have my Johnson 223 which is an old tube radio with 23 channels. Then there is the Cobra 139 SSB which I have used for a lot of DX along with my 5/8 wave ground plane. I also use that same antenna for 10 meters and talk all over the US, Canada and Mexico with it. Try putting a dipole in the attic if you have one.
No attic, and no yard, it is an apartment complex. We needed a place to live that we could afford. Radio was not part of that sadly. So it is what it is. Going to try and build something, we will see how it goes.

Not able to do HF in the apartment. Plus HF gear is not cheap. But someday I would love t get on HF!
