GAMMA RAY 'Rise' - Official Remastered Video

- This video was filmed in Hamburg at Hammer Studio which was like a second home (or first?) for all Gamma Ray members.
This video session took place only a few days after the band finished the mixes of the studio album 'To The Metal!'.
Sadly, the studio does not exist anymore, it burned down in a scary firestorm during the recordings of the follow-up album 'Empire of The Undead’ as shown and discussed in the Bonus DVD that was bundled to that album (which we might share in part on this channel in the future - should we?).
There are very grounded reasons to think that the delivery of the mixes at the 11th hour, as well as the filming of this videos just one second before the bonus DVD was supposed to go to print have inspired the song 'Master Of Confusion'. But that´s another story! For now please enjoy this remastered video and, if you like it, leave a comment below.

I miss Gamma Ray a lot! With Kai "back" in Helloween we don't have two great bands at the same time anymore but only one and this is sad. Hope to see a new album and tour someday.
Me too. I think it's great that everyone's friends again, but having invested heavily in both Gamma Ray and Unisonic, I want to see them continue.
Hopefully Kai will write much more of the next Helloween album. I have heard in interviews that he has many songs written for it. That should sate the hunger for Gamma Ray somewhat.

Dan Zimmermann is among the greatest power metal drummers of all time. Wishing him the best in his retirement, but I really miss him.

It's always great listening to recent metal and give support to young bands.
But old school has its own legendary league. Some say "prototypical", others "essencial".
I agree. While I like the energy a young and new band brings, I always enjoy it when a group of veterans show how it's done by the "old guard". The latest Helloween album for example is amazing.

Thank you soooo much for showing me how the bass is playing one single air note and the drummer is hitting hard during the guitar solo.... Said no guitar player EVER!!!! The director of these video should do somenthing different for living, crochet, macrame or teaching braile, but editing videos.

@@sonatas_spt Да, "конкистадоры" нормальная группа была со своим лицом. У меня еще любимая всегда была с начала 90-х помимо перечисленных King Diamond как то классические альбомы The Eye, Abigail, Them, Conspiracy. Больше всего она цепляет за душу, особенно концерты их были круче чем у перечисленных групп, еще обожаю Dream Theater и Джона Петруччи за вклад в гитарное мастерство и расширение границ соло гитары как и Мальмстина, еще Rage с Манни Шмидтом очень крут был, как то альбом например Trapped ! Да и много еще конечно групп, но основные эти
