I grew up in Amberg, Wi in Marinette County. We lived way out close to the Menominee River and since I was a little kid my grandparents always said to not venture close to the river at night. Until one night when I was a teen and not as afraid and I heard branches moving as I walked and I thought it was the wind until I heard a growl. I looked back and up and seen 2 translucent forms on a branch. I took off into the woods not knowing which way I was going. I heard them jumping and running for the longest time. By the time it stopped I was lost. It took them 3 days to find me. I was delirious from not eating or sleeping. I was so scared to sleep at all. When I told the police what happened they put me in brown county mental hospital for 2 weeks. There are things in this world that we aren’t meant to know exist
@ @ the most terrifying experience I’ve had in 42 years. It is a core memory. In retrospect I feel like they were chasing me out of a certain area for whatever reason. They could have clearly killed me. Every time I looked up I could make out the outline of them leaping from tree to tree. I hid in the river off the bank for about 8 hours at one point. This was back in 97 so cell phones weren’t around.
I remember when that happened. I was in choir w you. This is Jon we hung out w simone and sara almost 30 years ago. I lived by the menominee. My old man talked about a glowing man bear that walked in the woods out there. My older brother saw it too. I havent thought about that in years.

@bryanchipps9374 since then I've done an embarrassed amount of research on 'cryptids' and I have heard several stories about the translucent things and they intrigue me the most... also low key, freak me tf out

His logic sucks, but all internal combustion car engines have an alternator that recharges your battery. When the vehicle is on, your battery is only a reserve, it runs everything off of the alternator. You're not going to save any gas by turning the radio down unless you have a 2000 watt system or something like that in your car 😅

Grew up in northern Wisconsin right on the lake. Was deep in the woods at night with my dad and we heard a deathly scream that lasted almost 30 seconds. Then happened again a minute later.
