Jerad...dont forget that the Lord appears to each priest who is sealed...and he has never apeared to those who claim to have the keys..the LDS church does not have the high priesthood to give...only the prepatory....
How can you know if a priest is actually holy? What a shame for anyone who trusted a priest who on the surface was holy and went through all the sacraments properly, but in secret was fornicating or committing some other dark sin.
The holy scriptures are the standard against which must we measure and compare all things from God, especially would-be priests. Priests who perform ordinances who turn out to be false bring themselves under condemnation. If we receive ordinances from false priests, but we still repent and build our faith in Christ, we are still good to go. "I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm." (Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 4:34)

A true priest will manifest the power of God...seen in miracles signs and wonders...moroni said if these signs dissapear we are walking in unbelief
