Outstanding!!! I restored my 65 Impala SS with the intent of driving it. All original. I got rock chips on the paint from driving it on LA freeways, I was ready mentally to have it wear accordingly. I can't imagine this car getting a door ding hahaha I'd lose it.
In 1964 I was in the Navy serving aboard a nuclear submarine. I came home for Christmas to Milwaukee and saw a used ANNIVERSARY GOLD 63 Impala SS 409 for sale on a used car lot. Price was $2,200. Being under water for months at a time I saved most of my money. I was tempted to buy it but my family had no garage to store it so I passed it up. I have a color slide of me sitting in it someplace. I got out of the Submarine Force the following May and bought a custom painted tan 1960 Thunderbird coupe in New London, Connecticut. I still remember seeing the Gold 409 !!
Incredible restoration! Beautiful automobile. Would love to own it. '63 is one of my favorites of the SS Impala and this one is a 409 and red! Everything I would want.
We owned a 1963 Chevrolet Impala. It had 409 engine with a 3 speed transmission, a 4 door. It would get up and go. We kept it for 21 years until 1984. Dad had sold the car and we were so disappointed.
Not very many people ordered A/C back in 1963, especially on a 409. I bought a brand new 1970 Plymouth GTX in 1969 with a 440 and 375 hp, and did not order A/C. A/C was not really necessary in NY where I lived, and in many other states that the temps didn't get to high in summer. Another reason is the high cost - it typically added over $400 to the cost of the car, which was usually 10% higher than the cost of the car. Sounds like peanuts now, but back then it was a lot of $$$.
Nice job, but noisy motor. Ive had quite a few cars from 63 and up to my current 69 custom. I've always owned cars loaded with options and bought them for penny's for what people are asking for them when for sale. I'm always amazed at prices people want for them.. yes, their worth good a good amount when in concourse condition or actual extremely low mileage survivors. But most are are just old cars people drive with tons of things still needing be done and asking 50k as if they were rolling down a Barrett Jackson auction. Laughable.. i got my 63 for 12k in perfect daily driver condition from the original owners.. drive it for a bit and sold it for 15k after fixing a/c and miscellaneous items. My current 69 is high optioned I got for 15 hundred and only 29k original miles I bought from the original 85 year old owner that I might traded straight up for 64 ss... these high production cars.. if they were low production or actual copo.. then we'd be taking those numbers. Otherwise their readily available through all sorts of classified listing.

That red looks like wet lipstick.
Beautiful ‼️❤️😍
Everything exterior not painted red is chromed. Even the upholstery buttons are chromed.

Great story!
Super cool story. $2,200 was pretty good money then. Not an easy decision.
Wow that's a beautiful vintage car!
Bravo!! The restoration is just like it was driven off the showroom floor.
Heads must turn as you drive the boulevard!
Beautiful car beautiful restoration I'm a classic car guy myself reminds me of the movie Christine

I completely agree. That is the combination I would like to own.

What an incredible restoration yet, would love to own it one day. One of my uncles had a '63 and it's such a nice car.
63 is my favorite year!
Mine too!
Love the way the roof line drops off in the back. tHanks for the video
The convertible look hard top look on 62-64 GM cars was the best!!
Great video and restoration, hopefully my 64 409 will look like that some day.
Love this car. I am looking to buy a 1962,63,64, Chevy hopefully I can find one for sale.
My dream car since i was 15yrs old I'm 44 now still dreaming
Very luxury and fantastic model...
Patiently waiting for these old geezers to start keeling over and seeing their perfectly restored cars being put in the market for sale!
There gonna be 100k pretty soon
don't hold your breath unless you have a large wallet: auctions will see that these babies will go for big dollars...
MY 62' BUBBLE-TOP PLATES READ, "SRFM409"😎
As the video plays.....the car is stunning.

Not a Chevy guy but, that Impala is gorgeous. I believe it's a 340 horse power.
Only if it had the dual quads
@@KingPando097 Along with a 340 and 400 hp version, both had a 4-barrel carb.
What beautiful car .what is in this vintage machine that take your harts? Love it.❤️
I'd volunteer it's the "formal" hardtop roofline, & that splendid '63-'64/only hooded in-dash tachometer.
Absolutely beautiful but the alternator belt needs to be snugged up a tad.
It didn't look this good at the dealership!
What was wrong with it? Did it have body damage? You take photos while you were there brah?
Had a '63 SS Impala Convertible, replaced 300/327 (mistake) with a 400/409. Quick. This one has the deep pulley 409 alternator.
A red beauty.
Man this video made me fill like I'm on assied😂.
100 percent prefect car besides the single reservoir brake cylinder. Even though it's factory correct a duel reservoir is the way go.
I'm in love 😍 eye candy
I had the same one, only white with dark nylon top, should have kept longer.
Thanks for all the nice comments. **** THIS 409 IS SOLD ****
She’s real fine 😎

Beatiful car but no a/c?

Nothing in toyota's past present or future will ever be able to top the good ole American Classics made by GM MOPAR OR FORD toyota is GARBAGE
Why the hell does this look like I’m on acid??
Are we the only two that noticed that???😂
