Really enjoying this build and I'm delighted to see Airfix have produced a kit of such quality. Nice tip about black edging transparencies, that's another day in the classroom. Woof to Jess of course 🙂
Great work and good newbie technique section on sprue nub removal. As I learn best by watching repetitively, the more times I see a basic technique, used in different contexts or on different models, the better modeller I will become (I hope). Thanks.
Hi Nige, yeah we do like it the way you're doing it, please don’t change. Plenty of us keep coming back for more so if it ain't broke and all that. Best modeling channel on here Nige. Take care, love to Jess. 👍😁
Seven parts in and this has become one of my favorite builds, taking the time to explain the whats and why of what you are doing is wonderful, and to see a beautiful kit come together without fighting every step make for great watching
Hi Nigel, the Sea King is looking absolutely fantastic thus far, it will come out a real beauty, looking forward to the next update, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👍👍👍👍
I`ve noticed in a few videos you actually make your own parts. I`m considering getting a 3D printer. Have you considered doing a tutorial on that, what programme you use etc , etc and how to go about it.
@@NigelsModellingBench that’s usually the way of it, can see Eduard doing a full interior for it and maybe Ruskit for their resin engines rotor heads and interior.
Looking really great Nige👌👍🫡...by the way, don't hassle bout the nails, I also been biting mine since about 5 years old, now nearly 53 n still do, actually mine look worse than yours🙈🙄😬
@@NigelsModellingBench 🤣 might actually do that in fairness, I just prefer helicopters in 1/35 over 1/48 I’m not getting any younger most work done under a magnifying lens these days lol, appreciate the reply mate keep up the in depth videos, loved following your spitfire build thanks to you mine turned out pretty well 👍
Don’t worry about your nails. I cut mine about as short as you bite yours. You couldn’t tell much of a difference. Besides, there are modellers out there making videos with kinky looking gloves on all of the time. No bueno.
That clamp-then-glue vs glue-then-clamp tip is gold Nige. 👍🏻
Thanks 👍

Coming along nicely Nigel
Have a great build.

Many thanks
This is looking stunning. Really look forward to watching these.
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for the information on the rebel hobbies clamps, ordered some yesterday! Great build, looks awesome!
Thankyou, pre-ordered. Looks great so far. Some great schemes for it too.
Hope you enjoy it!
That looks like a well designed kit! Thus far, seems it goes together exceptionally well. Good work on on the assembly.
It is!
Loving this build!! I’ve got a good quality picture of the top, let me know where to send it 😊
Please do! Nigelsmodellingbench at gee mail dot com.
All sent, need anything else let me know as I have loads 😂

I dont have a 3d printer. All my parts are hand crafted.
Wondering if the aftermarket boys will make engine's for this? As those spaces scream out for it. Great progress Nige.
I'm sure the aftermarket will make enough parts so you only use the fuselage halves to build it Phillip??

Hey Nigel, I found a perfect picture that answers your question about the seam on the rotor housing. How can I send that to you....
I'm all sorted now thanks Mike.

Hi do u know where I can get the wood deck for the Yamato 1/200 please 🙏
Have you looked on Ebay?
@@NigelsModellingBench yes they r all from China I just wondered if I could get one from the uk
Hi Nigel, where did you get those orange/red parallel clamps from? have been looking for some.
Thanks
Cant wait for my Sea King to arrive.😐
They are from Rebel Hobby in Sweden Tony.. I said this at 13:27
@@NigelsModellingBenchI'm pretty sure people are teasing you about these now...😅
Just curious, how do you rank Tamiya acrylic vs lacquer vs enamel paints?
Tamiya acrylic is awesome for spraying, as is the LP range. Enamel is great for spraying and brush painting.
@@NigelsModellingBench I don’t think I’ve ever seen you use enamel? If not why?
Cant stand the smell Paul
👍👍
Hi Nigel, do you actually think they will do a 1/35 version of this ? As I’d rather wait until that was released or is that just wishful thinking 😂
I very much doubt it Wayne, however ICM might do one?
Thank you 👍
Anyway.. just get both lol.
