I love that you look at the off-season as a mental break in addition to a physical break. I often find a mental break is what athletes need more than the physical one after an ultramarathon training block
Woohoo! I'm planning on running a 50km this summer, so watching this video is just increasing my excitement for the race! Also, Sally, I'm using your app to build a base (6-wk run and strength program), then using your 50km plan in the app as my race training. Thanks for being an inspiration!
So awesome to hear that! thank you for sharing that with me! We have gotten incredible feedback about my 50k training program- lots of STRONG finishes, PRs, and stoked athletes feeling stronger than ever! Wishing you all the strength and success as you train!
Just found your channel, I'm looking forward to following your journey! I'm ready to try for a 50 miler, so watching you tackle 200 miles will make mine seem so much more doable for me!
Thoroughly enjoyed this sorta podcast / video…. I learned a lot from this and will use it for my 1st 50k trail race …. May I ask what 200 miler you training for ? (Bigfoot, Moab, etc. ) thanks again Sally 🙂
Just starting off on my running journey. Taking it very slow to start but can’t stop getting knots in my calves any suggestions? I am using a theragun daily to try and break up the knots but every time I run they come right back. Loving your channel so far.
Hill Sprints to kick off season. Love it! Excited to follow along on your journey. You’re inspiring so many women to be STRONG runners. Thank you for sharing ⚡️
You can have a total high cholesterol because of you have high HDL which is good? Which one was out of wack, LDL or HDL? Love this though, thanks for sharing
I also had high HDL cholesterol with low LDL. I was worried about the overall high #, and read that women can develop problems due to overly high HDL, but my Dr assured me I was fine, and it was due to my high level of activity. 🤞
I did a podcast on that question; you can find it in the FEAR AND DANGER ON THE RUN episode. After being harrassed and stalked I only at random post my runs. I'm still on there giving kudos and saying hello, but my posting will remain infrequent.
Really has to do with you goals...I'll get 2-3 more this year! Just to keep in check with how body is holding up- make sure bones are good...muscle is good.
Sally is one of the most inspiring people I regularly follow! Her joy and positivity for running and just for life is amazing!!

I’m also training for a 200. But just one. Not three like you’re doing. Can’t wait to follow your training.
Good luck!!
I loved it, you’re always smiling !this is amazing!!
Go for the Chia for Iron and fiber (instead of oats) . Adding spirulina to green smoothies is good for iron and overall gut health too 💪
Makes me wanna go do some hill sprints! 😆 Also, loving the idea of having strength as your strength 💪
I love that you still have your Christmas lights up and on. We do too. Good luck with your training.
I'm in love with this series already and hate having to wait for the next episode! (--;
Thanks for following along!

Thinking of getting the Nike Trail Pegasus, are they any good?
What does a warm up before a run look like for you?

Why aren’t you posting races and results to Strava anymore? We saw you at Leadville but didn’t see results

We need more Ifit videos please
