Hubby and I have a map that we only play together. We also both have a solo map, that we normally play alone. The ability to "visit" the other person's map is awesome, it can be used to help with a boss or give inspiration to a build. It is well worth the purchase - I have got 759 hrs in the game (granted that includes some AFK time), so to me that is amazing value for money. Unlike some survival games you do not have to eat - you can survive not eating, but your health will remain low.
I love the option to play solo or play with friends. I love the option of going on a murderous rampage or just puttering around my place and building or remodeling. As far as graphics, I have a crappy PC, so my graphics are set low. But, for a $20 game, I think the views are phenomenal. Nothing like coming up over a hill and seeing grassland sloped down in front of you right down to the ocean. Now, if I had paid $40+ for this game, I might be a bit annoyed by the pixely graphics and all.
About the optimization, they should really optimise fps and game stability in an area with a lot of instances. Right now if you wanna do intricate builds and aesthetical interior and exterior design you're gonna pay the price in fps.
I don't see anything wrong with the graphics I don't understand why people say that it's outdated and they don't like it it's fine I like it it's more of a retro gaming feel I think it fits perfectly with the overall game experience people don't like it they can move on to play something else
I've bought Valheim few days ago, because friends pushed me into getting it, and I don''t regret it. At first it was pretty hard to get into the atmosphere of game bcs of old looking textures, graphics themselves look stunning. While me and the boys went exploring/getting to boss areas, saw how beautiful everything looks.
The vast majority of my hours are single player. Valheim is great as you can go do chill stuff or go out and fight mobs, and the graphics don't really figure into how much I love the game.
Valheim has helped me take a look at games that I’ve overlooked before due to their graphics, or play and enjoy some older games with outdated graphics!
I will take a look and see if I can get a house I like made out of stone. Did you have a specific style of stone building in mind, or just anything livable out of stone?
@@quicksandriggs i was tring to build round stone house(not tower) with 2 floors and no iron planks(cuz they are rly expensive i think they should change it to nails not entire iron ingot), i spent like 4 hours :D rebuilded 5-6 times
Very well put 👌 Hey man if your interested Kysen, Jiroc, GwK, myself and others are putting together a youtuber server. If you want to join the collab, just let me know I'll shoot you the link privately
That’s cool, I appreciate the invite! Right now I’m working on some real life things and haven’t been able to put quite as much time on video games, so I’m not sure I’d be able to get on there much at all…
Don’t recommend this game to anyone. Unless you enjoy endless fog it seems at times. Great build mechanics destroyed by actual gameplay. Slow and boring most of the time to be honest. I just build things now.
Good answers to all the questions. But pretty disappointed that the visuals are just random grinding and not matched to the voiceover. Especially when you’re talking about the lighting while in a dungeon. Really dropped the ball there.
Valheim is easily worth the money for the building mechanics alone, getting baked and building massive complex castles is quite fun.

Yep, been a great experience for me too! Well worth the purchase!
760 hours here. Well worth the money.

The price tag definitely makes this game worth it!
Thanks Riggs! Great vid as always
For sure!
I don't think it's 'fair to say' that every game is more fun with a group. I personally love single-player games. That includes Valheim.
I completely agree! That’s why I said ‘nearly every game’ definitely some good single player games out there.
Yes
It's 20€ and I am 150hrs in. More than worth it!

Hopefully they continue to improve optimization any chance they get!

I agree the graphics for the overall game experience! Not sure why, but the older looking graphics go well with the savage feel.

1 question I have seen from people who've heard of the game and I've recommended it to "Can you add items through modding"
I have never personally played with mods, sorry.
Worth playing solo. for sure.
hey man sorry to ask from here, can you make a stone house guide? i couldnt find any, they are just giving tips there is no full guide

I prefere single player, most games I've played in multi-player, the people were not relaxed and were just dickheads.
Yeah, that happens a lot!
You need better frnz. You need... brotherrrrrrs
how did you made enemies to hit so hard while having iron gear?
In this video I’m wearing leather armor and using bronze weapons. I don’t think I fought anything with iron gear.
