- Travel photography along Route 66 has been a mission. But, man has it been fun!

Route 66 is one of the most eclectic places on the planet. It's just a road of perfect nostalgia and memorabilia. In many ways, it's the true essence of "Americana". And, it's been fun to shoot travel photography throughout the journey.
Today, we took Route 66 southwest from Springfield, Missouri into Kansas and finally into Oklahoma. Along the way, I actually managed to get 2 or 3 interesting photos that I think really managed to capture the essence of things so far.
My travel photography project along Route 66 is still a work in progress, but I feel like it's now finally starting to gain some substance on day 4 of the journey to California. It has been incredible so far.
Tomorrow, the travel photography continues from Route 66. Stay tuned.
Brings back so many memories ... I grew up in my teen years in Springfield MO. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great video Brendan. Looks like you're having a blast!!
This is my dream to take Route 66
Great series to see, Thank! Brendan.
So Awsome I need to take this drive, Looks like real fun!
Great vlog BvS.
LOL! TH would love that tree!
I waited with baited breath for you to get to tulsa, then I saw the skyline and I was like "YEA!". Then I got got a glimpse of Cyrus Avery plaza and then you were magicly in OKC.
Yeah, we messed up big time.
We should have spent a night in Tulsa, but we misjudged the timings. I'll have to make a special trip there at some point to make up for it.
Some of the b-roll today reminded me of Stephen Shores uncommon places. That book changed my perspective on photography.
The Field of Dreams was filmed outside of Dyersville, Iowa. It is still there.
Road trip!!!
Ive been to the real field of dreams in Iowa! So cool
Great series. Glad I found your channel. Really enjoying your Historic 66 journey.
Thanks Ted!
I'm looking forward to when you get to Barstow in California, the only part of Route 66 I've driven along.
Just came across your Route 66 vlogs today and have been binge watching them. They're amazing!
Wanted to know what is the title and author of the Route 66 guidebook you guys were using???
I’m enjoying following along on your Route 66 adventure. I travelled a small portion of it in Arizona years ago and always wanted to do more.
Perhaps you could consider doing the TransCanada Highway from coast to coast for your next road trip! 😬
That trip is on my plans. When this channel hits 75,000 I'm going to do a 13 in 13 challenge in which I do all 10 provinces and 3 territories in 13 days. 😁
Brendan van Son Wow, that will be an epic (and fast) trip. I’m looking forward to following along here.
Wearing ”なめ猫” T-shirt! It's classic LOL.
Sorry Brendan if this has been asked already, but what is the name of the guide that you are using? And where can one get it? Thank you
So sorry you did not try the fried squash!! Try it you will like it!! It is sooooo good!! But then I think anything dunked in hot oil is good! :-) Love your travel down Route 66!!
I did actually. It was sooooo good.
Love the t-shirt! Been following your channel for awhile. I’m curious to know what is the guide book you’re using?
It's one by Jerry Mclanahan. It was essential.
You happy with the 40mm lens?
Interesting series with so much to see along the route
So far I really like it. But, haven't been using it enough.
BRENDAN! OUR OKC CAPITAL BUILDING IS BEING REMODELED!
It’s a mess, or it was the last time I went by it, maybe two weeks ago. I think you probably should pick another location.
Asking people to photograph them is so nerve wrecking to me. How did you get past that?
Sorry but it's bugging me: what do you use your blue carabiner for? ;)
Hahahaha. Everyone asks that. Honestly, I just put it there once and never took it off. Haha
:D :D I actually like it. I think it's part of your style now: the hat and the carabiner! Makes me want to put one on my bag as well. lol
Thought I saw a video with u on a cliff edge with a rope attached to the tripod and to the cabrina (or how ever it’s spelt). Only noticed as I wondered myself
The Field of Dreams is in Iowa.
Is this guide you're following available for free to download?
I don't think so. It was like a $25 book!
GLAD you enjoyed my city Springfield 😁😁
It's cool!
What does the Japanese on your tshirt say? Spent most of your video trying to work it out!
it is a cool T-shirt. Isn't it?
The real Field of Dreams is near Dyersville, Iowa.
Any tornado warnings 🌩
None. Perfect weather the whole time.
That single tree out in the distance.........I see a Theat influence here........
How about World's Largest Rocking Horse?
That would be terrifying!
Field of dreams is in Iowa! Not on Route 66....sorry.
Okay my impression of route 66 so far is that it's the most random collection of useless shit ever :D
Who would even want to have, let alone visit, the biggest for/chair/whalemoddelthing in the world and why is it in a guide book??? :D
