In this compilation video, we go over multiple clips from bear attacks, encounters and even charges. What makes these ''caught on camera'' moments so scary is the fact that they were filmed in remote areas like a forest, katmai national park, glacier national park and even alska.
We even feature a moment where hunters encounter a huge grizzly bear and need to use their hunting rifles and warning shots to protect themselves. In another clip, a park ranger needs to protect tourists with bear spray from an approaching protective mother bear with cubs.
Encounters with black bears, brown bears and even kodiak bears are actually way more common than you might think. They often happen to people who are hiking, camping, mountain biking or even hunting. Sometimes, this can lead to them being stalked, chased and mauled by these animals.
It just turns out that some of them were lucky enough to capture footage of these near death experiences that almost went wrong on camera and go pro. This leads to some very creepy videos.
Thankfully, many people on hikes carry bear spray, which prevents their bear encounter from turning into ''gone wrong'' viral moments.
Get ready, because these bear vs man moments are sure to give you the chills.

I live on a mountain with black bears, like the one at 4:19. They're normally pretty curious but the only times they get aggressive is when either its a mother, you run away, or make eye contact. Otherwise they're scaredy cats. Here are some tips!
Black Bears: If you ever encounter a black bear and yelling or making sounds doesn't work, Do not and I repeat, DO NOT turn around. Put your hands in the air and walk backwards slowly while
looking at the ground, this shows that you're not a threat. IF you were to run, the bear would give chase as it might think you're a deer or other animal.
Grizzly Bears: Grizzly's are super aggressive and expectantly even more so if they are mothers. If a Grizzly attacks you, if you have a backpack on drop to the ground and dig your hands and feet into the ground. Do Not Panic. Stay calm until the bear calms down and make sure its gone before you go to get help. Unlike the black bear, Do not yell. Speak in a soft, monotone voice and wave your arms to show you are human. If you have pepper spray make sure to have it out. Do not look it in the eyes either.
    I hope this helped!

    • @brianbradley1012
      @brianbradley1012 2 роки тому +7

100 percent. The major difference between the two animals is Black Bears are often scavengers, meaning they eat dead things so playing dead does not work. Black Bears are smaller but you have to fight them off. Brown Bears are so large that fighting them with anything less than a high powered riffle or warhead is simply going to piss it off more. With Browns or Grizzlies your only option is to play dead, protect your head with your arms and pray that it doesn't eat you while your still alive.

The most accurate advice I’ve seen I hate this guys videos as he is clueless yes bears are dangerous purely becouse of sheer size, strength and capability and that they are a predator but half these clips are just bears wanting past or being curious not actually being aggressive!
Admittedly the one with the hunters looked more a territorial thing than a hunting thing which is equally as dangerous if handled incorrectly.

I only had one encounter with a grizzly bear and thank God I was only 19 and in the military. I followed these guys to Alaska while on a weekend off. That was it for me. I'm in my 60s now. One reason is I never went into the bear country again. The bear we encounter was old and injured yet it was still able to chase us and I'm speculating now that it would have injured or killed at least one of us if it had caught us. Never again, about 43yrs later I'm still alive. One of those buddies of mine has since died but unrelated to bears. My other buddy we still talk both of us approaching 65. We never forgot that weekend.

And all that black bear needed was a kick or two and it would have likely ran off. Do not keep backing up like that if it’s following you.. hold your ground. However, if a black bear is literally on you- it is time for the fight of your life. Playing dead will do nothing for you with a black bear. If a black bear actually attacks you, makes actual contact with you..it is doing so to try to eat you.. and they will.. dead or alive they don’t care.

    • @cassieh5506

I have to admit, sometimes instinct trumps logic in that situation. I have been told, since I was a kid, if you see a bear, make a lot of noise and don't run. One summer I was living with my dad in Southern Oregon (Grants Pass to be exact), black bear country. He lived in the hills outside of town. I was walking on a trail close to the house, just to clear my head. I was about 50 yards from the house when I heard a rustle in a nearby bush (there was a small fence separating me from this area, the end of our property). I assumed it was a deer, but once the creature turned its head and revealed itself, through the clearing, to be a black bear, I freaked out. My first reaction was to run because I was terrified, so I did. Stupid move because once I booked it, I thought I heard the bear move through the bushes, as if he was trying to follow me. Luckily there was a small fence between me and the bear, I ran fast enough, and I was close enough to the house that I made it back without the bear catching up. I was lucky but it was still a stupid move on my part lol. Again, sometimes fear trumps reason.

It is an extremely unpleasant raspy crackling sound that you honestly can't miss if you play back your audio and listen to it. The solution is super simple, just lower the volume on the mic in.

Where is the scary part in these four encounters? All these bears are behaving normally just the second and last scenario show bears that can smell the nervousness, anxiety and fear in the humans and that triggered their dominant behavior. By the way all these bears approached so slowly that for a confident marksman they would have posed no serious thread even in case of an attack. As a retired fish and wildlife biologist I had hundreds of bear encounters during my 30 years of work in the Canadian woods and the two attacks where I had to kill black bears were much more sudden and happened within a few seconds.
