OMG THIS IS SO SAD 😭 i love this interpretation of Hawkfrost as someone who is contending with grief and projecting his "ideal lost baby brother" onto Brambleclaw, a projection that was inevitably bound to fall apart and cause anger in that iconic confrontation... This video is absolutely beautiful, thank you for opening my eyes to more potential Hawkfrost depth!
I never saw Hawkfrost wanting to be close to Brambleclaw because of Tadpole and now it makes me really sad. If I'm gonna be honest, I near cried at the end. I really love this, amazing job.
Wow this is EXACTLY how I speculate the reason behind unusual closeness Hawk had for Bramble during their time together.
Ever since I read Sasha manga, it just suddenly make sense why he act how he acted towards bramble even they hardly knew each other very long. Especially when bramble did share some of characteristic w/ tadpole (courage, friendliness, etc)
I never think hawk 'manipulate' bramble in any way as some ppl said. If anything, his fury when big brother didnt react the way he expect, hawk lash out, because he cant stand bramble chose not to stand with him at the lake.
I love the sketchy style! It just makes this that much better. And the lil tadpoles 🥺
This actually brought me to tears. It's so beautiful, with the small tadpoles dancing underwater next to Hawkfrost at both the beginning and end, (in my interpretation) probably signifying he always thought about his little brother until the end. Seeing Hawkfrost's view of Branbleclaw as Tadpole is just terribly sad.
The song and the animation plus the story pair together so well. It's incredible. I love, that the only colors present are the black from the lines, the colors of Tadpole's pelt and eyes, Hawkfrost's blue figure and the white backrounds. It's just so beautiful.
10/10, one of the best small videos about Tadpole I've seen on UA-cam.

The switch from bramble to tadpole really got me, I never thought of their relationship that way. Seriously tho we really do need more tadpole content
seeing this made me go :) bc Sasha's third manga has a place in my heart bc it was the first warriors book I read and tadpoles death hurts me every time
Hawkfrost is too underrated! Thank you for bringing more light to him! He’s not just a pretty boy, he’s actually quite soft when you think about it. He wasn’t raised right, and he felt like an outsider in RiverClan. You can understand why he’s angry!

I'm not even gonna mention how I love Cavetown music, I'll just cut to the chase and say that i love this PMV.
The way that you have shown us two very different Hawkfrosts, in this video and The Contrarian, just shows how good you are with telling the different parts of a character's personality. This is also a very different coloring style than you usually use, and I absolutely love that.

this is SUCH a great concept??? i love seeing people humanize hawkfrost more and dealing with his grief... and the part where he projects tadpole onto brambleclaw? (chef's kiss). i also love the style and limited palette for this it works SO well
I never expected to feel as much sympathy for the Hawk man as I do rn poor boy if only Tigerstar hadn’t been such a huge influence on him he could have maybe been a normal warrior and lived

Thank you for this, Warriors Tigerstar and Sasha was the first Warriors arc I've read. I always had a special attachment to these characters. I cried because this is beautifully made and now I feel like Hawkfrost had more to him than just "anger" and "ambition".
