    Transcript:
So as a clinician investigator, one of the, privileges I have is to take care of patients, but also at the same time, work with others to try to develop new and better therapies, for patients with difficult diseases. And one of the great pleasures is to occasionally see those therapies move onto fruition. And the patients that I care for benefit from those treatments.
I'm Doctor Rob Dreicer, I am the associate director for clinical research and the deputy director of the University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center. I'm also a professor of medicine and urology at the UVA School of Medicine. I'm a urologic medical oncologist caring for patients with advanced prostate, kidney, bladder, testicular, adrenal, and penile cancers, as well as conducting clinical research in those diseases to find better and new treatments.
As a clinical investigator in patients with urologic cancers, I have the privilege of both caring for these patients as well as being involved in development of new therapies for them. So when there's a win, patients directly benefit. So it's a very straightforward development process. if things win, patients benefit.
