    I use a DNM 200mm coil on the stock linkage and it's no problem to fit, you just need to back off the preload on the spring so it's loose by a couple of threads, then wind the preload back on once fitted using a long flat head screwdriver and some light taps onto the collar (make sure the threads have been lubed first). I use a 750lb spring for my 90kg riding weight and I've managed to get a perfect 23.75mm sag. 100% better than the stock shock. I appreciate that changing the linkages would make it even better but just wanted to put it out there that the DNM coils work really well and don't need modification to fit either, unlike some other shocks.

      I wish I could have made it work. It would have saved me some money. I tried everything. Just couldn’t get the OEM linkage in alignment with the DNM shock mounting rods. But I do appreciate your input.

      @@riandowright3542 yeah the stock fitted length is 195mm so you need to loose 5mm on the shock for installation. You'll never compress even a 750lb spring by hand so the only way is to wind the preload off. And the 190mm shocks are too short, reducing travel by 12mm and allowing too much slop in the system at full extension. But I'm really happy with the 200mm DNM coil, enough that I dont feel the need to change linkages, very plush for street use/hopping off kerbs at 750lb but would need for for jumping/off road (which I dont do). All that said, despite your hassles you've ended up with a nice setup :)

    Awesome video! I’ll eventually change out the shock on my EX30, and this video saves me the headache from messing around with the stock linkage.
    I’ll go with the aftermarket linkages too.

      Cool…that was my goal to help others save time. Thanks for the input. You’ll like this linkage.

    Glad you’ve got it all sorted and installed correctly bro👌🏾. Tbh anything works better than the stock linkage😅. But it did seem to be working fine the way you had it installed.

    that's awesome, I thought it wouldn't work with my grizzla kit, I'm ordering a kit this week!!! thanks for the excellent review

      I have the old Grizzla kit, they are now calling it the Mk1 and it works with this linkage. Grizzla has a new kit now the Mk2 and it’s made specifically for this style of linkage. Not sure what the difference is in the rear.

    I wish I had seen this video last week. Air shock blew on my Ex30 & reached out to ewheels for a replacement & they showed me the new Begode 1,300lb CNC Spring/Coil Linkage Kit they had which I did purchase for $350 & just put on about 3 days ago. Its stiff but overall providing a stable ride without worry of air leaks anymore but I think this kind of linkage would be better simply for easy swap out of shocks once main linkage is installed.
    Can't justify spending any more money now with all the money ive spent thus far on new Clarkpads fairing kit, jump pads, new iron man peddles & last, the new linkage kit I just bought. But this will be my next upgrade once my pockets heal from this last round of spending on my Ex30.

      As long as you got something that work’s reliably, keep it rollin. My next upgrade will be the new Clark Pedals. Lightweight and hella durable. Have a happy holiday.

    Hi Fiwiright,You should try this one and see. It's great for going up and down the stairs I'm using for my three EUC Begode Master Master Pro and Bgode EX20s.

      I have heard several people speak highly of this shocks. If I ever have to replace my DNM I will definitely pick up the Rockshock Monarch. I have one in my cart on EBay now.

    Bro I’m sorry to tell you the long part of the linkage is upside down… the rubber is supposed to face up so it protects the suspension. And also the short side is wrong. The part you have bolted to the wheel with two holes is supposed to be connected to the shock. That way you have two different hole positions for more or less stiffness

      😂😂😂LOL..thanks man. After I posted the video, Loc Vo hit me up and told me the same thing. Funny thing is that it worked better than the original linkage backwards. I have switched it and now it’s a dream. I thought it was good when I posted this. Now it’s spectacular. Appreciate you bro! Happy holidays

    Ok no maybe the long one is correct for the mudguard but the short one is definately the wrong way. How would you use the second hole on the linkage if it’s inside the wheel??

    • @riandowright3542
      @riandowright3542 11 місяців тому

      Yeah I just used the last hole on each. Both linkages long and short were upside down. Loc sent me the schematics to help me out.
