As a Zverev aficionado, I have enjoyed watching this exhibition showdown along with Djokovic pre-AO tournament. The genial demeanours at the net in the end of this friendly clash between Djokovic and Zverev. BTW, I have observed the performance, mobility and efficiency of AO king. Nole looks ready to compete in the toilsome encounters against the gruelling rivals, wishing himself good luck...)
@markopopovic4645 Yes, that's the real big issue. His stamina due to his age, of course its absolutely amazing, but compared to the younger players is a big difference. But honestly I'm just happy to see him play. Don't care at all if he wins or not. Novak is the 🐐
@@markopopovic4645 It hasn't been that big of a problem throughout his career as people say. While it does get to him, it also affects the player across the net. Djokovic won the tournament 10 times and many other big events in record high temperature, such as Indian Wells, Miami, Wimbledon, US Open etc. If anyone can handle the heat, its him.
@@markopopovic4645 Yes, but in the tournaments that count he manages to fight through it. He has always been affected by the heat...but he has also won there more times than anyone else.
@@Highball-91 Indian Wells is in March, so not too hot AND not humid, which is actually more important for Djokovic who has breathing problems. Miami is definitely humid as well as New York. Wimbledon not so much of a problem. Usually way cooler than New York but can be humid. Hot and humid at the same time is a no-no for Djokovic. At this age more than ever.
He will never be the favourite because the press have done a great job in portraying him as a villain so they can get money from stupid people and Fedal fans....but he will always be the GOAT.
@@AnhPham-k1z8p What are you talking about, man? Do you even watch tennis? Djokovic directs his shots with incredible precision! He uses the width of the entire court like no other player.
Djokovic's shoes is really nice and those white socks. Wonder if after a match he would give away those socks. That would be the best souvenir I could get.
Fair play to Novak for playing this. I'm sure this is the last thing he wants to do leading into a slam. I wonder if it's compulsory? Seems really stupid to make these guys play unnecessary matches literally days before the tournament begins, charity or not.
I don't think this one set could impact on the Slam performance, players are used to play sets even on practice. Plus it gives people a show and money for charity or whatever.
@@lukezz493 Everything can impact performance, even more so as you age. I still play sport at amateur level and I'm in my early 40s but if I do even the smallest bit of training/sport the day before a game or during the rest period leading up to a game I feel it and also run a higher risk of getting injured prior or during the match, not to mention the impact on recovery. I know what you mean but still, given what's on the line for Novak, it doesn't seem worth it. This is why I wonder if it's part of their compulsory media duties as it just doesn't seem to fit into Novak's planning process for slams, particularly given the sacrifices elsewhere.
Djokovic hasn`t lost his sense of humor yet. He still likes to play dropshots even though they are a joke. His second worst shot, right after the overhead smash. His dropshot has a huge arch, goes high, travels forever and has a high bounce. Fairly easy to catch except on clay. Not to mention that half of them end up in the net. But it gives him a bit of variety and keeps the opponent on his toes I guess. I wish he would just give up on it because it loses more points than the second serve.
I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at tennis tournaments is not even childish... it is embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson were allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.
Why does one have to watch so much about Novak there are better players then him come on all the time publicity for him it’s wrong give us number 1 and other players please 😢
Because he is a legend who soon is going to retire, has an entertaining personality, is willing to do it and attract obviously more public than any other player at this point!
This night is about Novak, it’s a series that has gone on for 3 yrs now. It’s called “A night with Novak” it’s spending time with Novak, other players in singles and doubles and wheel chair match too. It’s about raising money for Charity though and having fun here. This aren’t serious matches…
it's not about applying cheating cream, or pulling ya undies, or shouting vamos every time ya hit a stupid winner, or choking at 40-15. It is about the one and only #1 and GOAT - the Djoker!!!
No fight no bite. Would like to see them against each other in the real AO…
Yeah, it's an exhibition.
You might, if they both reach the semi.

Considering Djoker had knee surgery and is nearly 38, it’s crazy how Zverev if anything looks slower than him
Zverev is not supposed to be fast, he is 198

Nice play but Zverev hopefully reduces the grunting in atp matches
Mate I can’t bare it 😮😢😮😢
say that to nadal
Novak will win Australia Open in 2025. He is serving excellently.
Zverev good replacement for Kyrgios fun entertaining match
The Laver Cup in another universe
Imagine Federer and Nadal being this friendly.
That's why Nole will be GOAT (and people's fave for all times).
Nole is a great player but his nowhere near GOAT. The way he hits the ball is just like thousands of player out there

Novak can play tennis at a high level and beat everyone, and now the question is for how long, the tournament is long and the physical preparation???
Zverevs Outfit looks really nice and hats off to the 38 yo 💪

It's a charity match so let's go play in slowmotion.

Djokovic might be made to play day games..
I thought I had the youtube speed set at .75......but that is just how they played. Entertaining though.
