I was thinking " Dear god, what is this man saying right now? I'm shocked he didn't yeet a thrust bearing, ohh, wait he is saying he did " lol, yes hard lesson learned
are you sure your clutch pedal was properly adjusted? it looks like ur clutch was engaged the whole time by the bearing wear. Idk if Id blame installation, you’d be wiping out threads trying to close the gap on a misinstallation.
It was definitely a bad pilot bearing from us trying to close that gap on the transmission , we installed a new pilot bearing and a new block with crank and now everything’s back to normal
NICE! Im building a eg too, im at the restoring part of my journey love the VID!
Hell yea , Enjoy the process , take your time with it and I’m sure it’ll come out great.
That's wild. I had no idea a 7 bolt 4g63 would fit in a hatch 😂
😂i would never
2:05 are those lines pinched inside the bell housing and block? Or is it an illusion on camera.
The wiring just runs behind the scatter shield , not pinched between the bell housing
Never ever use the bolts to pull the transmission in. If it won't go, something is wrong.
Hard lesson learned

Reminds me of Granma's SInger
