On Minecraft pc (java) the creator can leave and nobody will get disconnected. There’s proof of this in one of Tommy’s streams where dream had left the game.

Tommy is the one who destroyed the peace, Tommy is the one who joined every illegal activities (idk how to describe that), Tommy is the one who broke one of the *3* rules on the SMP. dream stole the discs are just for peace. he just used the *very hard to find out* way and tried to stop the 'chaos' that Tommy brought for the whole server. only few of the members of the dream SMP know how dream is thinking, and can you change the bad thoughts of Dream, by watch a video of a girl explaining that Dream is not a villain in the SMP. (you can find the video on UA-cam)
