The way I interpret, the five Thomases on the bottom are previous builds of Thomas that have been dejected. They weren't being useful enough engines. Due to the pricey costs needed to decommission the Thomases, Sir Toppumhat (I hope I'm spelling his name correctly) banished them to different parts of the Island of Sodor so that they won't be able to cause confusion and delay. This has happened five times, each subsequent time making Sir Toppumhat more concerned and hopeless than the last. When they decide to make a sixth Thomas, Toppumhat proposed that this version would be named Carl, so that the townsfolk wouldn't be as worried or suspicious. Unfortunately, Carl turned out to be the worst of the Thomas variants and wreaked havoc on the Island of Sodor. The news of Carl's misdeeds eventually caught the attention of one of the previous Thomases, who then made it his mission to try to warn the other four Thomases about Carl. Now with all five Thomases together at once, it is finally time to put Carl in his place. I know this isn't the intended lore of the song. I just find creating fan fiction fun.
#1 Ubel is actually Jevilfan's Thomas Far left is Express Mania's Thomas (probably the least known out of all of them) Void Thomas/Carl (The one above the rest) Is from Thomas' Railway Showdown, the only other Thomas mod I work on Far right is The Railway Funkin' Thomas, the mod was only announced recently And the one next to him is Big Engine Brawl Thomas. Apparently, he barely has any role in the mod, but he's still there. I'm really surprised you haven't heard of TRS, actually!
