As a performer and vocalist, there is truly nothing more spiritual that literally throwing your arms open and throwing your love to an audience who is giving it right back. If that isn't the pure work of a higher power, I don't know what is. I am incredibly lucky to do what I do and to have experienced that kind of connection. Thank you for this. Now, more than ever, it is our duty to convey love and bring about that peaceful connection with music.
MissHilPaige I think that it's the sign of a truly amazing performance. Allen, himself, stopped believing, after years of leading worship at his father's church and going to a Bible college.
If you're still around, it makes you wonder why prayer (praying) in Christianity was ever changed from facing upward to bowing/praying towards the ground (think it was during the Crusades)...

We were blown away when he brought out the choir to cover our song. So so special to us. The cherry on top is that we can still rewatch it now on YT to relive the moment. ❤❤

I’m really new to Allen Stone. I feel like I’ve missed out on so much. I’ve seen great artists over the years…..Elton John, Yes, Tom Jones, simply red, kings of Leon, deep purple, led zeppelin to name a few but I feel I really missed out on this particular performance. Allen Stone’s live performances are exceptional.

Matt lol! i understand!..1st time 4 me..but i've watched/listened to the duet cover of his song, *"Unaware,"* with Dennis on the new American Idol.. *5 times* ..and on DATA!..which i normally ration to some degree these days since cancelling my home internet & phone service. 😭
it's wearing me out, too!..but that song cover is so worth it [anyone who likes Mr. Stone should check it out]..but be sure i'll be downloading it to my TubeMate for *off* DATA listening - next time i'm at one of our community's wireless services..do hope they - the singers - know about it, why it was created and hope they would not take offense...i mean, internet services are *so* expensive for us supposed 'average bears' re: income..as well as for so many others..[but then people seem to wind up being on one side of the line or the other re: beliefs about that issue...kind of like atheists and the various kinds of spiritual believers. 🤔🤔

I had never heard that version before by Bob and it hit me different and I love his original but I love Allen stone. His version is off the charts. We should give him a standing ovation honestly. Allen just slayed as usual but my man on the drum kit is back there making impossibly difficult things look so easy. The rhythm with the keys, which can’t be off by one millisecond is pure perfection. Then those staggers and the crazy hi-hat work, I just keep rewinding it. That’s like a pure joy when everyone in the band including the incredible choir are all just locked in and feeling it. There’s no better feeling in the world.

I think about this show all the time. I talked my brother into going to the tent for this after seeing Allen on Live From Daryl's House. He almost went to see another band. He was very happy with his choice lol. This closer brought the house down.

I first saw him as a mentor on American Idol recently.....WHAT a loving, warm soul he is. My husband Bob&I purposefully played his music (earlier this evening) to our "date-night-dinner". Grateful to our Lord Yeshua for these musical encounters with Allen.
