That's awesome, I really hope you make the GM title. im trying to become an IM, 2200 at the moment, I stopped a few years for medical reasons, but now I'm back!
The road to GM is even harder than b4 since in this day and age so many players are grossly underrated In a country like China, many 2200s or even players below 2000s, are quite difficult to beat even for a 2400 It's just so easy to lose rating points But hard can also be a good thing if you manage to get it, it's going to be more rewarding. Good luck on your journey to GM!
YF chess where can I find solid opening theory about the Nimzo Larsen Attack? (I know its a system opening but even plans). Or maybe you could tell me where you find your repertoire information from? Anyway I love the content, keep it up

Hey! I just made it to 2000 elo and watched this video. I’m currently 17 and I started my journey around 3 years ago or so. My biggest win is against a 2300 elo. Do you think I’ll ever have a chance to become an IM or GM with the correct training at my current state?
Just so you know one of greatest chess writers and trainers Shereshevsky in a russian podcast said that he always believed than anyone with the right training can become a grandmaster. But now he actually believes there are methods to become a 2600 What surprised me that he said that you can become a grandmaster by studying endgamrs🤷
Very interesting! Not sure I fully agree as I know so many players who work hard but struggle to make it. Perhaps their training isn't right but you would think there would be more GMs if so
@@YFchess I guess when it comes to correct training it's about working on your weaknesses. When you analyze your games you have to understand in what types of positions do you play well and in what you don't. And so when you start playing try playing on your strengths. Also you have to play training games against stronger opponents, it's similar to building muscle if you lift light weights you won't become stronger. Now I'm not even a master at chess so I hope I didn't make it sound like I'm teaching you, but It's just my advice. Always play training games against stronger opponents and learn from players who are better. PS. Keep grinding bro💪
Is it possible for me to become a GM, im 16 and i reached 2100 in just a year of playing, i started somewhere last year april and im almost at 2200, i just have a prpblem with network thats holding me back

My sons age 7 & 9 are currently about 1500. With 3 hours of training daily + monthly tournaments, how big is their chance to become GM in 10 years ? Closer to 5% or 20% ?
That's great to hear! They are off to a good start. Difficult to tell at such an early age but if they have a passion for the game I'd guesstimate closer to 20% if they keep at it!
