Your channel is a hit with me because it include two of my favorite hobbies, frugality (in most cases) and gluttony. But seriously folks, I grew up when the AYCE buffets paradigm just broke out. We no longer had to confine ourselves to a bar, happy hour, and The Bee Gees. You probably weren't around yet.
In the 60s I remember 99 cent AYCEs. But who had 99 cents? Today, $20 is easier to come by than 99 cents was back in the 60s, so they're cheaper now!
Nonduality $21 was equivalent to $2.47 in 1960. Fun fact :)
AYCE in the good old days. I remember a family each getting their own plate of mashed potatoes, then a vegetable, and then a plate of beef like mystery meat. This same group would get a plate of rolls, slather the roll in butter and then dip the roll in mashed potatoes. Only gluttony I see today is at the seafood bar with crab legs. Not many years ago people would grab about two dozen wings from the serving station at Ponderosa steak house before chowing down on the worlds worst steak. Yummo.

Hey Derek, I ended up going to Palace Station last weekend after all. The new Palace Station didn't disappoint not one bit! They really stepped up their game from the old feast buffet. Many more selection of food to choose from. I didn't know where to even start with the large selection of food that's there now. The new Feast Buffet was so good, that I went 3 days in a row! Wouldn't it be easier to have your camera once you are seated at the table on a tripod? I think that would make eating a bit easier for you when you are trying your selected dishes.
Great video... I couldn't believe how you skipped by that tray of bacon... If that were me, my first plate would be nothing but bacon drenched in maple syrup! That beef soup (more like beef stew to me) look tasty. Cheers!!

bacon with maple syrup? I guess that must be an American/Canadian thing over here in England at least where I'm from we just have the bacon with maybe Ketchup or brown sauce. i thought Maple syrup is sweet (never tried it so don't know) so those two don't work for my head each to their own though

When you skipped the bacon, you were dead to me😂...but then I saw you got the biscuit and gravy, but you didn't review it?¿?¿?¿, ...but then you got unsweetened ice tea and you were dead to me again😂 Flank steak is usually tough unless it's well aged and tenderized. I just had flank steak at Knott's Boysenberry Festival with Boysenberry cream cheese topping and it was great! Another great video Derek!

Watching your videos has saved me a fortune. Yet another buffet I don't have to waste money on. I'm not much of a breakfast person but the Paris breakfast buffet is great. You should do a video on their breakfast buffet. Sunday brunch at Aliente is pretty damn good too.

I think this buffet was one of the good one I’ve seen so far Tropicana only had that amazing waffle you had I could tell as soon as u hit the chicken it was dry keep making me jealous now am so hungry lol

The purpose of those large square plates in front of the food is not for spoons or tongs. They are there to prevent food and sauces from falling on the counter. So much easier to switch out plates than to constantly be wiping down the counters.

I was very impressed with this buffet. I thought overall the food was well presented and from your reactions seemed to be pretty good. I have seen and been to other Vegas buffets that cost a lot more and were not nearly as good as this one looked. Thanks for the video.

I was good until the syrup was on the plate. I don't care for the sweet touching my savory. I would have just put the pancake and french toast in the syrup.
I'm the same way! I like sweet and I like savory, just not together!
Westgate is my favorite Hotel. If you like Sports and good food. It’s the best spot in Vegas.

Hi Derek I always see you say that fried chicken is your favorite. The Eastside Cannery Buffet had the best fried chicken. It was the original recipe when the nevada palace stood where the cannery is now. They also have it at the snaps cafe. If you Haven't had it go try it. You won't be disappointed.

This place pales in comparison to the Las Vegas Hilton buffet. They had a wall of meat. A wall of meat!!! They had steaks, grilled chicken, fried chicken, country ribs, ribs, sausages, links, pork chops, roasted jalapenos, corn on the cob, and I'm sure I'm missing something. And all for about twenty dollars. Totally worth it.

Seriously................ take me there now! Breakfast Brunch... whatever Derek............. that place looked super simple, but super tasty............... great selection of food.............. the beef soup was probably made with the night before left over beef boiled up to make that soup, so super tasty and the beef would of been great I am sure. Your face said to me everything you tasted was decent.

If you love steaks, you need to try the Large Spencer at Jocko's Steak House in Nipomo, California! You will not be disappointed! Be sure to call in a reservation during the hours they have their barbecue pit going.
