I think an issue is that Lunar might be using too much ram. There is a thing in the settings in Lunar's settings in the launcher that you can adjust to change the allocated ram to Lunar. You might have already tried this but might I recommend messing with that? Raise it to see if Lunar is not getting enough ram to operate while recording, and if that doesn't work try lowering it to see if the issue is that your recording software isnt getting enough ram to record. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the help! I have tried adjusting the RAM, as well as some settings like resolution to no prospect. But now that I think of it, I allocated more never less. So ill give that a shot! Using forge gives me false ban anxiety.

If you use obs to record, it could be that you're using a the wrong video encoder. I had terrible frames too and then I changed it to QuickSync HVEC. Instantly was getting almost the same fps as without recording. You can find the obs option under output settings, make sure to go to the recording tab instead of the default streaming. Hope this is helpful!
Edit: I found badlion to give me better fps, especially when recording, but I've heard it's different for everyone

You gotta adjust how much allocated ram you use for lunar
Sadly, I have tried this and it didn’t work. 4-8 dedicated and didn’t see a performance boost. Personally I think lunar knows I’m bad and must enforce it with impunity.
@@YTStarGazer you just gotta play around with it and I guess copy any PvP UA-camrs settings (specifically video settings) and then you should be good. I get like 500 fps on a Mac book air while recording with OBS (but I have a PC anyway so it doesn’t matter for me at least 💀)

It's called BDCraft, it's an old pack that YOGScast used to use. It can be pretty XD I have a bedwars pack I've been switching between. But at the time I felt it would stick out more, and be a bit more unique.
@@YTStarGazer its certainly unique. (btw i was not meaning to be rude, its just the weird amalgamation of super hd textures and the super short swords is a bit strange)
@@imamoocow4 Oh the short swords are on overlay! I just like them tiny so it doesn't block the enemy. That's my fault not the texture packs haha
