Jorge and his wife are an inspiration to us all, his closing statements really spoke to me. A very humble and talented individual, I hope he has a long career in movie making. The world needs more dreamers like him!

I remember seeing this video a few years ago. I remember being intrigued hearing Jorge Gutierrez explain his life story and what inspired him to make The Book of Life. I remember vaugley the show El Tigre. I didn't watch it much. Though i did see The Book of Life. For some reason i feel like El Tigre was one of those shows that was talked about much but when mentioned now it's criticized. But i liked The Book of Life. Gutierrez and the other people did a great job with the movie.

The more I think about it, the more I love The Book of Life. Definitely one of the best movie experiences I've had this year. Bravo, Jorge for tenaciously fighting to get your vision seen.

I think it's pretty ironic how Grandpapi Rivera is a villain because Jorge's abuelo(Grandpapi was based off him) was actually a military general so he defended Mexico.
