How could you perform impressive exercises if you can't even imagine yourself doing them?
How can you achieve your dream physique if you can't even picture yourself that way?
I often see this issue, and I wanted to address it, so let's talk about mindset.
Every religion, wisdom, and philosophy ever existed agrees that the way you think determines what you become. As a man thinketh, so is he.
Your mindset shapes how you perceive reality, how you see the world, and influences how you mold yourself and your circumstances.
So, if you can't even imagine yourself as you desire or capable of that specific exercise, then how can you expect to ever succeed?
We haven't even talked about action yet, but if you're already incapable of it in your mind or limit yourself, then don't be surprised if you never achieve your goal.
That's why I encourage you to play with the thought freely.
Nourish your mindset to achieve the physique or master the exercise you desire.
This is the first real step you can take, since all that comes to life in the physical world first originates as a thought.
Your thoughts will lead to actions, your actions to habits, and your habits will become parts of your life, shaping the person you think of.
You, who is healthy, who has an excellent physique, who is strong, and who is capable of doing, let’s say, muscle-ups.
If you can't imagine it first, don't expect it to happen. But then again, why would it happen at all? By accident?
Okay, maybe you've never thought about this because you were just living your life, and that's okay if you're happy.
But now, I'm specifically thinking about those who've said, "Wow, that's so cool, I wish I could do it, but it's impossible for me because xyz all kinds of limiting thoughts."
Or, "Yeah, I should really lose weight now, but I'll never get in that shape ever."
You've probably heard a lot of similar things.
Let me tell, you this. Yes, you could do it and achieve that physique.
You're only limiting yourself because all these are things under your control.
Is there anyone telling you how you can move, preventing you from doing 15 push-ups?
Or anyone dictating what you can eat?
No, you have control over what you do with your body and what you put in your mouth and eat, no one else.
Likewise, you have control over what you think about yourself.
If you think about yourself as a healthy person who takes care of themselves, is in good shape, and strong, then sooner or later, you will become that, if you follow this flow and act accordingly.
I know many find this weird or BS "don't believe in it," but it's not a matter of belief.
If you look into it, you'll conclude that this is as much a natural law as gravity.
Whether you believe in it or not, the way you think is what you become.

I want to show the doctor I am seeing on Tuesday exactly what I was doing when it happened. I can’t find the video you were doing it in. Can you please direct me to the video where you were doing this?

I recently installed gymnastic rings at our local gym (the owner is very accommodative) and I've been playing around on them a bunch. I can't do anything too impressive yet, but other people love watching and trying themselves. Gymnastics really is a fun discipline, it draws enthusiasm out of everyone

I just read how Csollany didn't want to take the jab but had to in order to continue coaching. He died soon after. It Sucks to lose a gold medalist like that.

Hey Adam, I have never hurt myself before when doing skin the cat, frontlever or backlever movements.
However, last week, despite my usual preparations, I did seem to put too much pressure on my rotator cuff when going from the backlever to the neutral position during my skin the cat. It doesn't hurt a lot, and I am sure it will recover on its own, but it just made me wonder.... What is the missing link? Clearly I must have done something wrong, or my prehab/warmup is not sufficient.
How do you prepare your shoulders, shoulderblades and rotator cuff for a skin the cat? What warmup and prehab do you do specifically for this exercise?
I usually try to make sure my shoulderblades are warm and prepared, and that my rotators are strong. In the local calisthenics park there is only high, short and non-adjustable rings and a bunch of bars everywhere, this means that I rely on my rotator cuff health and warmup to prepare my shoulder for skin the cats as I am not sure how I can do more direct rotator cuff prehab in this situation without bringing external equipment.
I'd love to hear your opinion, and also the opinion of the community. I value my health and body so I would like to avoid injuries and apparently my injury prevention is not bulletproof enough. Now I have this tiny injury, how would you recommend on making sure it recovers in a healthy way? Do more rotator cuff prehab at home?

Hello recently I moved with my family to the United States, and my son practices gymnastics, follows him on social networks . A few days ago we went to the beach where he trains but we couldn't see him. Could you recommend some gym or steps to follow so that the child can continue practicing gymnastics?

Dude i've seen you've been doing gymnastics for 15 years but i never saw you doing C or D elements (Like Maltese, Inverted Cross, Butterfly or Press Planche). Since i would like to do the C elements at least in the future, and now I'm stuck at A elements (Muscle up, front and back lever), i wanted to know if you can do those but don't show them, you don't train them or simply can't do those yet. I'm really looking forward to the maltese, and i can hold a strap-assisted iron cross for 6-7 seconds now, how long would i need to achieve C/D elements?
