My dad died yesterday. And I remember all my struggles as a teenager when I hear The Fray on the radio when I was younger. My mom is now free from all the abuse and suicide attempts. We are all now free. The Fray was one of my influences to keep going even when life was so damn hard. And here I am at the end of that arc and I made it! I just hope I am a much better parent than my folks and I just hope that dysfunctional people stop procreating. Don't get me wrong. I love my dad, despite all the shit - again and again until the very end. He made me strong. His actions taught me what not to pick in a partner and my mom taught me what not to become as a mother. It's a tough cycle to break but I'm trying my best. Here's to you dad! Oh and as cheesy as it is, here's to life, "don't let me go!"

it's sad how good songs only get recognized when someone uses it rather then by themselves, most people probably recognize it from vampire diary or transformers revenge of the fallen but only some recognize it as a great song of the fray
