The problem with the green hills and beginners is that they are usually really narrow paths and that is hard for beginners to feel comfortable using toe edge.
“I wanna try and hit this one more time” while crying and then straps in and hits both the box’s like a boss. He knows his limits and like he said “I knew I had it, I trusted myself”. Dudes gonna be fine in life
Great video Jonathan!! my son is about your son's age, so this made me have faith it will be OK when we go to Breck with the family next february, it will be his second trip snowboarding.. wish me luck!
This is so great. Your kid is freaking awesome. So polite and kind. You definitely raised him right. Also, what is it about making toe turns that's so tough? I remember back to when I was a kid and first switched to riding from skiing, and my friend quit the lesson we were taking(and took me with him) and for some reason preferred just going down the mountain over and over doing only heel turns. I just didn't get that kind of mindset. It took me longer, but once I got the confidence to build up some speed before transitioning to toe side turns, I just took off from there. I so wish I had a kid to take snowboarding. My sister lives in Breckenridge and has a 7 and a 2 year old, but they're all skiers. One of these days I'm gonna get out there and convert my nephew to riding. Lol.
I got a question for the community. I have a Roxy Eminence C2BTX Snowboard Torah Bright edition from 2014. I only realised yesterday how old my board is. It reviewed very well. It's still in functional condition. So what are your thoughts on using boards this old? Am I riding something that may be much heavier than new boards and don't even know? What's the lifespan? I mean it carves well, it has pop. I wish it was softer but that's just the build.
I had to dad someone who I assumed was an adult at Key on Vet’s day. Skier with head in the clouds cut my son (9) off and made him fall. Luckily my son is a good rider and saw it coming. He got the “watch where you’re going with this many people on the same run,” talk. I pull my dad card out for all the little kids out there. 🤨
Beginners please sound off on this comment we anyone actually, when y'all first started out was learning toe side turns or heel side harder, from the vlog and teaching ex's in the past people seem to have a harder time learning toe side turns and stops, I feel I was the opposite and had a harder time leaning heel side turns and stops. Granted leaning to snowboard goofy the first few days when I should have been riding regular may have played a part. But y'all let me know in the comments
Same here, toe side for me it's super easy to carve, to quickly turn and stop.. "hell" edge hahaha it's my problem but I solved put my binding in Forward Lean..
I learned heal side stopping st machintire ski area in manchester NH then my ad said lets go to the top after my second lesson and it was natural carving down heal to toe so I learned heal side first
Learning heelside felt more intuitive for me, especially since I haven't yet mastered toeside. After about 35 days of snowboarding over the past three years, I found that heelside came more naturally. @jdubmaster
Hi how old is your son? I´ve got 7 y.o., 5y.o. and 2,5 y.o.. Older ones just learned how to ski (like 2 years ago), but I love snowboarding and was wandering how to teach them and from what age.
7:20 10 days off mountain for this dude. 7:34 this dude "let's fly into the middle of two snowboarders!!" brilliant!!! wth F skiers 9:07 not only Roman's fault the skier thought "oh let's slalom paralalel with a kid maybe it's a good idea".
It frustrates me that your not teaching him the posture to get on his toes. He's not trusting his toes cos he's leaning over them to turn which forces the fall.
I don't understand how you run a summer snowboarding camp, but you're unable to teach your son how to properly get on his toe edge. You're pushing him to ride toe Edge without having the capability of doing so, It's painful watching videos like this, knowing that him catching a heel edge is impending because you wont teach him proper control before pushing him to just ride toe 😢😢
I didn’t wanna be the guy to say it but yeah. This will be season 11 teaching he should really put the poor kid in a lesson. Just telling him to get on his toes and over celebrating really isn’t doing him any favors. I don’t have any kids yet so I’ll shut up but I’ve worked with many kids ages 3-18, he needs more.

Great job with your little one. I'm looking forward to teaching my daughter a little this season.
What a guy, takes a nasty bump off the box and then regains confidence to then nail it back-to-back.
While STILL crying I wanna try it again! Is insane.. Roman is gonna be an issue on the slopes!
It's nice to see coming out of the hospital and this is the first thing I see on youtube _ hell yeah _ 5 hours of hell to peace

400 fucking dollars for a piece of plastic. holy fuck that company is greedy as shit.
great video tho amazing parenting that was just my reaction to the price of that plastic coms system that costs 9$ to produce.
