Command hooks for the peppermint lights in front of the window idea! They're so inexpensive and effective. They're what I'm using to put garland on my entertainment center this year. You did a great job, it all looks so nice!
I was just coming to the comments to say GIRLLLL use command strips hooks!!!!! I have a bunch on hand at all times and they’re great, you can remove them as if they were never there
You are so darling and all your videos make me smile and laugh and happy. Thank you for being you and for all the plant tips and knowledge. Love the chickens!
A little decorating goes a long way. It looks pretty. 95% of my decorations are thrift ed or left to me after my mom passed years ago. I always look for vintage Christmas decorations, especially santa. Still looking for the unique Mrs. ClausThe only thing I ever end up buying is lights and yes batteries . oh I take it all down the 5th of January. Its sad though.
I take my Christmas decorations down on New Year's Eve or before so I can welcome the new year with a fresh house 🥰 makes me feel good every time! Loved this video ❤️ have a great week lovely xxx
Hey Harli, would you be willing to do a pest video? What each pest looks like. What the damage they cause looks like and what you use to get rid of them?
Omg I loved the boys handmade ornaments.🥰 I still have many of mine from when I was little & my own kids and now I'm making them with my 2 granddaughters for my family.❤ Oh Command Strips has clear hook thingys that are horizontal, I believe specifically for wires. I hung my snowflake/icicle lights around my little porch overhang thing with them. They just stay on all year long(🤫🤭) but come off easily if needed. Kay BYYYYEEEEEEE!!!✌🏽
I love a handmade thrifted Christmas. I purchased air dry clay and made gingerbread men ornaments and still have them years later. Also a drill with a small bit works perfectly on the tin cans. You can draw the design on the can to follow and then paint the can. ❤
I love it! TBH this is how I decorate for Christmas. I hate the full Instagram home decor thing. It's too much for 1 month. I instantly bring it down on the 26th anyway! LOL
I definitely wouldn’t call you cheap, more like, smart, creative and sassy! Let someone else pay full price and pick it up after they no longer need or want them, after Christmas! I have some small screw in hooks under the mantle that I hand stockings on for Christmas and fairy lights at other times of the year,or you can even use those stick on hooks. Love how it all turned out!💚💚🎄🎅🏻🧑🏼🎄🤶🏻🎉
VERY NICE!!! thrifting for this is absolutely the way to go!!! My last years tiny table-Christmas tree (in fact, the New year's, we put it for the New year) has been a nice looking green glass bottle with my jewelry on it😂 anyway, I don't feel so well about tons of cheap plastics made in China in shops for the holidays.
Thrifting is SO great for Christmas & you find all the cool vintage stuff someone just cleaned out. I've gotten some really nice classic pieces that I'll use forever.😊
I make a similar soup my family loves in the crockpot, frozen breasts with tall jar of salsa 6 hours on high, fork shred: add chicken bone broth, beans corn rice and taco seasoning packet for another hour. We garnish the same. I’ve done chicken on low for 8 hours when I’m not in a rush. Always a hit, but the shredded chicken is also bomb in tacos or burritos so sometimes, soup is day two of a giant pot of the pulled chicken: so easy
Love your videos! Instead of just asking permission to put nails in the wall, you should ask to put hooks the wall.... that you can hang plants on! Love the mantel and the light fixture!!! 🧡
I leave them up to the middle of January. Since I got into plants I have no place for a tree. I. Put Up my crèche , and if I find it, my front door wreath. It’s red and white Christmas ornaments and green metal bow. Ive some angels and a few I got long crystal hanging stars, and stick on stars for the window. Also clear white lights to put in the front window. I do have some candies and Christmas pillows on the couch. Something to look at. My daughter’s hand print in plaster. Spray painted gold with a paper clipin the back. She was 4-5 and is 46 now. Do you see I’ve had it a very long time and it’s still intact.
In Italy we take down the decorations after the first week of January :D (the 6th is a holiday too, it's like the end of the Christmas/New Year's celebrations)
Harli! Love the video & love you - but you’re in need of an intervention. Ditch that table salt and get some kosher salt, gorl. Not bc of some wacky crap, but bc the flavor is nicer, the granules are easier to work with, I.e., a pinch of salt, and you’re less likely to over-salt stuff. It’s such a simple change that makes a big difference. I rarely comment on YT and this is definitely the first time I’ve ever told someone they “need” to do something and I’m amused that it’s over table salt 😂 Love, a long time viewer and former chef
I keep all my ornaments. I’ve got ornaments from my parents, some from my daughter, some I’ve made from the years I was in school and had no money and I made everyone bread dough ornaments, wooden ornaments that you sanded and painted the picture outlined by j front, fake glass ornaments and some that were found in the attic of a house I lived in. The previous owners denied any knowledge of them. They we old ornaments, several but very fragile. You see u can’t give any of them away. I’m trying to find all of my stuff in the garage from last year.
I decorated for christmas and 1 week later i took 80% down again 😅 yes i got a bit depressed and upset with life and it might have had a say in why i felt like removing some 😂 it felt good so it was hard to stop😅 im actually thinking about putting two things that i like up again 😂 but honestly when im down or stressed it helps to have less clutter. And minimal xmas can look really good too 😃
One year after my sister died on 12/20/04, I left my tree up until August. I really missed Christmas and I slowly moved it away from the window where everyone could see it. But I needed the remibdrr that there was some joy in the world. We did give each other Christmas presents on Christmas Day. We returned from Virginia where she lived and was buried on Christmas Eve. Moms plain had technical difficulties so she was stick at my dads and he talked to pilot friend who managed to find a single seat on Christmas Day so she could fly home to be with us. It was so kind of my dad to do all that on Christmas Eve, let her stay. G This way his exude and they finally got along after years of acrimony. Sorry fur all this.
sorry I'm days late with this. I'm happy to have you here, thanks for stopping by!

I saw the video you posted about the scissors and decided to chop my hair off, too! 🤓💖
those thrift finds are SO CUTE
Loved the video and I MADE THE SOUP TODAY!! It is sooo good. I want to eat it for days lol
The amount of times you said "tinsel" and it's garland... 🤣🤣🤣 (sorry, I couldn't help myself) Great job on that light fixture though FR
what is tinsel haha
Always love your video 😊😅🎉
Love the video!
Merry Christmas from New Zealand

Ooh, I’ll have to give shredded chicken tacos a try!
Yayyyy, I'm so happy to watch it tomorrow after work!
Hi Harli. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family 🎅
I always keep my tree up till after New Years, I was always told it’s bad luck to take the tree down before New Years! Idk 🤷♀️
Love your videos! Instead of just asking permission to put nails in the wall, you should ask to put hooks the wall.... that you can hang plants on! Love the mantel and the light fixture!!! 🧡
I had earphones on and said “bless you’ to you out loud.😂
💚
I never take Christmas decorations down until January. I like to enjoy them for at least a month, it’s a lot of work to put them up 🎄🎅🇨🇦
I have to decorate for Christmas too. 😅
I put lights on my big yucca. It will never be featured in any Christmas decor videos but I think of it as my Charlie Brown tree.
Love the peppermints in the dracena!
I bought some of those lights from Target too and didn’t realize they were battery operated 😭 3 sets is so many batteries!
💚💚
Chickens will love it.
You should buy some lights for the dracaena

Christmas decorating is always so much fun but hard when you live alone😅 plus being newly graduated and just starting a job lol, livin’ that poor life

I love your passion for good salt! 😂
You need to use a Dremel
On the can project
🎄🌟☃️
You can find those hooks at the dollar tree stores❤❤❤
Thrift store for the win

We keep our decorations up until the epiphany. It’s a good excuse for anyone who wants to use it 😂
Command hooks for the peppermint lights above the window, no damage and temporary 😊 it’s all so cute!
Also my bed is covered in laundry 😂
Just don't use dollar store/off brand ones! They do NOT release.
Yay 🎉
Put one stocking at each end to cover up the tape.
I use 3m hooks for everything, cos decorations change and they are removable.
Yayyyy!

Oh Lisa thank you for sharing your story ❤️ I totally understand leaving the tree up that long! I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday this year
@ thank you Harli. It was a tough year.

I take down the decorations after Three Kings Day.
