Deadmau5 watched this. Lol
Deadmau5 Freaks Really?
@@8mu- He watched on the livestream reacted.
Deadmau5 Freaks Is there anyway I can see that it has it gone?
@@8mu- I am interested in seeing his reaction as well!
@@8mu- There is the video. ua-cam.com/video/mYLwyGrjfqg/v-deo.html
Putting the Gordon Ramsay clip at the beginning was brilliant
joel: *samples asmr*
also joel: "Terrors In My Head"
For the Failbait, Deadmau5 also uses a scratch sample of a song called "Here we go" by Run DMC. It can be heard at 3:13 in Failbait and the original sample in "Here we go" is at 0:05.
The sample got approved on WhoSampled.
6:33 for Terrors in my Head is incorrect. This is a preset he used called "Korg" in a plugin for Native Instruments Reaktor called "Metaphysikal Function." He recorded the audio and pitched it down a little bit. Submatukana probably did the same, Reaktor has been aruond for a long time.
I would be curious to see the sample in the beginning of Arcadia - I've never been able to find it, but heard it in a scene from Sailor Moon when they're in an arcade. It's from the video game Arcadia supposedly, but I've had no luck.
He did a stream saying the Tourette's Guy was wrong, but instead it was Joel him self saying "fuck"
@@cheetah_5314 The inflection is really close but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Joel. He says that a lot.
@@cheetah_5314 It might actually be from Doctor-P's remix of Tetris. It sounds exactly the same.
For "Ghosts n' Stuff" and "Hi Friend!", deadmau5 used VEH1 House Beat - 07. He did not sample Axwell's Feel The Vibe for that.
Edit : @5achMusic damn that's crazy. Thanks for that man.
It sounds almost exactly the same and the little synth plucks are in there too, though. At least in hi friend
Scratch that. I am watching part of one of his old streams right now and you are right :)
"VEH1 House Beat - 07" What is that? Where can I find it?

Please keep this channel up! There are so many samples that I just wonder where artists found them through out the day. You’ve done an awesome job
Justin Wallace Thanks mate, been working hard over isolation 😊 plenty to come.
Eightminutesupsidedown I just saw that you found the chant from crash goes love. My life will never be the same 🤍 you fucking rock! Savant is a powerhouse of samples, a little study of him would be awesome too
This dude sampled ASMR!?
I always thought that was his wife Kelly! Turns out it's ASMR???
Regardless, it weirds me out
who is ASMR
who is ASMR
who is ASMR
1:15 Daft Punk Alive 2007 intro lol
holy fuck ive been looking for this for ages
I have been waiting for this.
You are a good man. Thank you!
Wow, this is so cool. I saw one of your videos on reddit the other day, about Knife Party samples, and after seeing it, I thought that it would be cool to have one of deadmau5, and then, several days after, you make one haha. Great work!
Yes, now The Samples: Disclosure edition
Prioritypus you mean 90% of their work? Haha
imicca ?
@@imicca I hope you've watched any Disclosure's stream by now and changed your mind.
deadmau5 - FML sampled Kewlers - Protozoa
And deadmau5 - okay ft Shotty Horroh sampled Annie - lets go to the movie
what about Snowcone tho? he said the drums are sampled in his masterclass...
I’ve always wondered where he got those kid noises in the middle of the song for Snowcone.
It's from Kool & the Gang's "Jungle Jazz", a known drum break.
9:54 MY F%#KING ADVENTURE WHAT A HILARIOUS ASF TITLE LMAO 🤣
My Pet Coelacanth was actually Joel yelling fuck, not the tourettes guy
It actually sounds exactly the same in Doctor-P's remix of Tetris. Maybe he took it from that.
Wow, he's used more samples than I realized.
Not all these are true
He barely uses any
oh wow he has actually sampled ASMR :D
You're seriously telling me that he sampled the drums from feel the vibe on ghosts n stuff and hi friend?? I mean that drum pattern is used in probably half of all fucking edm tracks.
Pol Cervera its bullshit, those drums doesnt even sound similar, its just processing of drums
@@krikiits Listen closely you can even faintly hear the synth plucks from "Feel the Vibe" especially in "Hi Friend!" so it's there. However I don't think he directly sampled it because apparently he used a Vengeance loop which in turn uses the Axwell intro.
Yeah Joel watched this on stream and said that some of the stuff is wrong. Including the “FUCK” from the Tourette’s guy, and the ghosts n stuff samples, they’re both his
If you hear the inflection/accent of swearing between the Tourettes guy and the way Joel speaks, I'm almost certain it's actually him saying "FUCK" instead of the Tourettes guy.
You're right, Joel confirmed it in one of his recent streams. There's too much background noise in the tourettes guy video.
I'm pretty sure that's actually a sample of Doctor P's "Tetris" as both sound exactly the same.
oh my god, he did my request D: thank you very much D:
Can't even believe that mau5 himself watched and reacted to this. :D
Dunno if there will be a part 2
Deadmau5 is an underappreciated Genius!!
10:11 Joel also used this sample under his Halcyon441 alias with the song titled "Dig this."
The clap sample you hear in every song he made is actually himself slapping his own butt cheek 😂
Rocket Mariano That’s amazing 😂😂
haha not in every song but about 10 he said.
I'm grateful I can sample his kicks, the cleanest about
Joel : everything is mine. Even, I use my fart sound. AI : right no problems
5:40 not his work, wtf? He did not even make that song
Great video! Keep up the good work man
He's a GENIUS
Now watch the daft punk one
Pretty much all of this are unreleased tracks, live mashups or songs from his first limited album. It's not that much of a sample guy nowadays
He needs 2 start sampling again
damn that submatukana 'sample' is very interesting; he basically repurposed that for like two whole tracks good god
@beet salad do you know what synth and preset they used?
people always say to me "hes too cocky", but hes fucking deadmau5.
he has ever damn right to be! a LEGEND in the music industry.
Please do Oneohtrix Point Never
What about MSTRKRFT? Would you ever consider doing them
My favorite dj ever
🙄............each to there own I guess.
@@606808909 im sorry but did he come to your city on the 150th birthday of your country?
@@pocketman97 Yes on 1077 AD in England deadmaus dropped some fire bangers. Was cash as fuck
@@606808909 lol
4:32 Did you not put the intro drums to ghost n stuff by accident?
Can you do JOYRYDE next?
The Chris Isaak one was more of an inspiration than a sample, on top of that, Moar Ghosts'N'Stuff (which I think is the original version of the song) got its name from the fact that the main melody was heavily inspired by Superstition by Stevie Wonder (Superstition = Ghosts'N'Stuff).
You missed the Snowcone sample.
Unsolved mystery.
What song was sampled in Snowcone?
@@5achitMusic idfk
what about riffs and samples from Kraftwerk - "Numbers" in deadmau5's "1981"?
Haven’t watched the video yet, but I’m here for deadmau5’s ass clap sample
3:41 Sampling from the 1-bit music god Himself, I see.
Did anyone see his reaction to this on his stream
Great investigation like usual
What about A Clockwork Orange for Clockwork??
He sampled a song that released 4 Century ago, so its pretty original
Strange, the song Are You Not Afraid showed up in this video but the actual vocal sample the song is named after didn't. Where did that sample come from?
He sampled what from Axwell? Typical house beat? Wow, it was so original, no one has done it before or after! You don't hear this type of rhythm often!
Mr. Oizo or SebastiAn edition, please
Yes 😎
The "Fuck" sound he used in My Pet Coelacanth was him. He mentioned it recently in one of his streams and even made a point about how if he had sampled it directly from Tourettes Guy you would've heard all the background noise that's also in the video. Joel probably does have the knowledge needed to isolate voices but I doubt anyone can do it _that_ well.
Yeah this was pointed out before, any half decent producer would have been able to isolate the vocal I reckon.
I don't think so. The exact same sound can be heard on Doctor-P's "Tetris" which can way before "My Pet Coelacanth".
More of DJ's samples plss 👌👌
6:00 "F%#K!" 🤣
4:24 sounds more like a Hi friend
Vagabundo Indigente Carry on watching...
@@8mu- jaja yeah i see whole vid and i admit my error
@@HUXKEAnd kinda like Maths I think
Love these!!!!!
where the vocals for The Oshawa Connection came from?
Some of there are not samples at all, they are presents from plugins, wtf.
Maybe that’s where the plug-in presets came from?
Where is "To Play Us Out"? ;)
EDIT: I'm just trolling, amazing job finding all the original tracks!
Damn, some of the things joel samples 😂
The Samples: Crydamoure Edition plz
5ach!† Music yes!!!!
This blowed my mind as fuck
Great Work, thanks for sharing 💛 🙏
2:21 Maths's melody is very similar to Crescendolls by Daft Punk.
And yes Daft Punk sampled from The imperials 😁
WTF its not alike at all
you gotta admit that 'closer' is better than the original theme
Can you do Orbital samples next?
Oh yes
dinkles If you see your mom this weekend would you be sure and tell her...
4:25 no this is some else deadmau5 song than ghosts too
Madlad sampled ASMR and called it Terrors in My Head.
Do you by any chance know the sample he uses in deadmau5' track "Mental Image" (3 minutes in)? I've heard this sample used quite a bunch and I could never find it.
The pic "🤨"
Double rainbow, whooa!. I skittled in my pants
5:10 that was actually Rob Swire's "fault": www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/2pi4ek/we_are_knife_party_aka_rob_swire_and_gareth/cmwzmhs/
YOoooooo
I think get scraped, his 2012 album and project 56 are his best albums
The Fuck! sample is his own voice, not the tourettes guy.
Originally is taken Doctor P - Tetris
@@mau5freaks It's honestly confusing considering that sample sounds just like him and it was in a pack of samples that he made; you could see the pack in Ableton while he streamed. But yeah, it is in the Doctor P song so that's weird, especially since Tetris came out in 2011 and My Pet Coelacanth came out in 2014
@@surround2842 Yeah
5:30 the background sounds like "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler
It's the same chords from Ghosts n Stuff so unlikely
This is just a rearrangement of his song Ghosts n Stuff.
Exposed. Exposed! EXPOSED!!!
😂 yeh he got the wrong end of the stick with this video. My videos are about appreciation not exposure.
@@8mu- You don't have to explain, I understand it. Nice work with this video, by the way. ♥️
Who sampled Aphex Twin next?
Michael Kraus Aphen Twin is a bastard lol he does sample but tweeks then so much they’re barely recognisable. However a video is coming on the 14th of April 😉
I see what you did there ❤️
Another Samples from Zomboy a dubstep song called hoedown is samples from angry birds Theme but this Samples Was AMAZING!
Some samples shown here are incorrect and recently there's some newer ones found. You might wanna make a V2 of this.
Maybe 🙂
I love deadmau5, but that one time he said "Someone who takes someone else's work and raps on it and just doesn't give me credit for it, publishes it"
Also, "Rurouni Kenshin OST - Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu - Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki" -> Deadmau5 Aural Psynapse
6:38 no way, this cover...
so joel its an a asmr fan
Deadmau5 did not sample "Let the rhythm hit 'em" by Eric B & Rakim directly. He sampled "Supermoves" by Overseer which DID sample "Let the rhythm hit 'em". I can tell he sampled Overseer because synths from the Overseer track are still in the Deadmau5 track that were not in "Let the rhythm hit 'em". But as mentioned before; "Supermoves" by Overseer does in fact heavily sample the drums and 'unf!' vocal from "Let the rhytm hit 'em" by Eric B and Rakim.
NICE JOB.
Cool
Amazing channel
They don't have that many samples and I'm sure you could use all of their samples in one video, but do you think you could do a video on Eels samples?
I can't believe Deadmau5 sampled Tourettes Guy xD actually...I can!
in other words, Water is wet. At least he has never stolen a full song like Marshmellow and tons and tons of others. He actually put this on his stream and admitted to some of it, but also tons of others he made himself that people think he sampled when he didn't. Also another fun fact, the popular sampled ones here only 2 were hits out of them lol
Yeah I watched his stream, claimed I was trying to expose him 😂
My question is the hard intro for ghost n stuff or moar ghost n stuff. what's that from?
Jake Pancake it’s Chopins Funeral March
6:36 he did not sample he just used the same plugin it even makes that high pitched ring
Do you know what plug-in?
So he can sample other artists but the second he’s sampled ahem “Antarctica” this fucker throws a fit.
I think that was because Suicideboys didn't ask him for permission.
Some of these are false, just because Axwell sounds like Ghosts, doesn’t mean he’d stoop to their level.
Exactly it's a common house beat. Nothing to sample. Probably used a Vengence Pack for that
it's a vengeance pack loop
You can faintly hear the synth plucks but I'm pretty sure he used a Vengeance loop which sampled Axwell.
i think deadmau5 said that he didn't sample tourette's guy for My Pet Coelacanth. He said it's just him yelling fuck.
He did indeed.
Doctor-P's Tetris also has the exact same fuck and it came way before My Pet Colecanth.
Where the Oshawa connection intro came from?
It's from a radio broadcast.
Ahora sé cómo hacer mis propias canciones 😆
I thought the axwell sample was for strobe
give us a yasutaka nakata episode
Can you do Rob Zombie next, please? Thank You.
Mozart next?
