@@alokacs3986 things are still in the air right now...its seems cases in india are on the rise, many indias are visiting, but i think internationals are on hold for now...
Yes people , looks amazing on video. The same I watc 2 years ago and I felt in love with ...unfortunately is not real and if you do not have friends there , it will be very painful and very very frustrating because you will be treated as a slave as they treat poor indian people . I was there ...lots of differences, racism, money all over and everything very expensive . They are very cold people and do not help no one , very selfish . I was a volunteer and they treat me as a slave , I run away.
Did you try to make friends? It is not expensive. U can find a place to live for under $10 with 2 meals included. Sure, if you have the means, you can splurge as well. Guessing you were looking for utopia. Hence your disappointment. Rule of thumb when it comes to India - go with no expectations or else you will be disappointed.
Thank you! I can vouch given I lived not too far from Auroville and my many friends have mentioned the same! the place is filled with racism and politics, the people there are all hypocrites pretending to be hippies! lots of gatekeeping!
@@bonosen7958 before you lecture someone else, why not just listen, she clearly went and volunteered! stop gaslighting her by asking her if she tried to make friends!
Hi Auroville , I am sarith originally from Kerala India .lived in the United States of America since 2005 and currently at Kerala I would like to visit Auroville and stay for some time if that is possible Thanks
Recently visited auroville but we weren't even allowed inside they said no outsiders entry planned multiple things but was only able to see matrimandir from a 500m distance and spent the rest of the days in room. It would be better if they say what all tourists could do
There are a lost of events and activities on aurovilles news and auronet where you can find out up to date information. Also Www.auroville.org.in has lots of info on things you can do in Auroville
The best way to experience Auroville is to come and volunteer, then a lot of things open up and you get to meet many people, understand Auroville more and also experience Auroville.
What kind of Forest is this ecovillage living in it ? What kind of forestry is there to protect the habitat of humans who lives in an forest? So Auroville is not an town but an Ecovillage ?
The waist and plastic- problem have to be more in the FOCUS of the Community ! NO plastic - chairs in the community ! Or only recyclied PLACTICS ! ❗ 🌐❗
My friend who lived close to the community and a few other people who know the place well have constantly mentioned how cultish it is, there is rampant racism against locals from the french and other white residents, and the internal politics is frustrating and stressful. Definitely not the utopia they like to paint! also homeopathy is pseudoscience!
Would love to spend a year in Auroville ❤
Have a look at the Auroville website, there are many opportunities www.auroville.org

What's the definition of a cult in your mind, out of curiosity, does their need to be a leader in charge?
