I thank you for the video. I was wanting to feed bees because they were hanging around my hummingbird feeders. Now I am thinking I shouldn't. They come to my flowers, but I don't t have land anymore to have a lot of flowers.

If my sugar syrup turns out around 1:1.5 will this be okay for spring feeding for comb building?
Or should I keep it at 1:1 for comb building?
Depends which way your numbers go! equal sugar to water or more sugar to water is OK, more dilute is extra work.

Why is your water or sugar goes brown, mine stays white
Mine is white until sugar fully dissolved and bubbles rise out.
This is stupid just mix it at room temperature and let it sit for a few hours all the sugar will dissolve at whatever ratio you like hot water makes it dissolve faster but boy that's a lot of bother and then you have to cool it down so it doesn't ferment get a container mix it up stick it in the fridge comeback a few hours later all the crystallized sugar will be dissolved
You must have a warm fridge!
