If Lego is gonna make more game consoles, I hope they make an SNES, and as much as people don't like them, personally I like the dioramas. Aside from the game cartridges, they're a good way of representing the games available on the console. For an SNES set they could have dioramas for games like A Link to the past, super Metroid, and maybe earthbound.
Brilliant set I would love if Lego made some ps4 or ps5 consoles with some famous games like Spider-Man ps4 or miles morales which we know Lego has the licence to create.
I kind of wish they did some of this with the NES instead of the mini TV. as cool as the working TV is, imagine if we a little room inside it where a kid wearing a Nintendo shirt was playing a minifigure scale version of the NES (could even have a special 1x2 tile with the controller print on it) and super Mario bros on the TV

People are wanting newer consoles to be made, but because they are in Lego Icons , I feel like they should stick with old consoles, because those would be more iconic then something that came out 1-2 years ago. So, instead of a PS5 or Xbox series x/s, they could do the first ever playstation and the first ever Xbox. They could even pull off a few more Nintendo sets, like a GameBoy or N64.
I’m pretty sure Pitfall was going to be part of the set. Then when Lego ceased partnership with Activision, they had to change it. That’s why the 80s room seems a bit out of place compared the rest of it all.
Yeah, what they should've done instead of the room, was a display of one of the games. Like maybe showing what you would see on screen for one of the games. For variation, I'd probably pick centipede or adventure.

The reason they included the cartridge holder. It is a replica of the actual cartridge holders they had back then. Also the "roller blades" are actually roller skates. Big in the 70's and 80's. Roller blades did not become a thing till late 80's early 90's. Being someone that comes from that Era leggo really nailed this one. Right down to the 70's green shag carpet.
I would love to get this, as I already have the NES set, but $240 PRICE is pushing me away for now. Some ppl were saying this set isn't gonna sell well, but once ppl have reviewed the pics and now the actual set, I think more ppl's minds will change. Just a feeling, I think this set will sell out pretty good.
It seems like it should be so easy to make this a working model to actually play some of the old games with today's tech ... then it would be ultra cool. 😎
I at least want that Johnny Thunder tile so here's hoping Bricks and Pieces can accommodate for that. the rest, looks great, but not sure I have the space for it.

This Joystick has more Flexibility than the real thing. The real thing needing to see a Chiropractor. Little fun fact btw: Centipede was Developed by a Girl and at the Time, it was kinda unheard of. The idea was a Gardening game so More than just men would go and Play Videogames, But it was just as "Violent" as Something like Galaxian or what not.

Today's youth really don't respect this console enough . This is the sole reason we enjoy console games today due to how successful it was back in the day. This is an incredible looking set but really overpriced considering it doesn't come with the TV build like the Nintendo one does.
It was actually all the other companies that started flooding the market with junk games, that caused the crash, including own Atari's ET. Although a few years after 84, it would have been outdated anyway.

My family spent the extra money to get the wood grain version. A paddle would have been better than the small builds, you did use them a lot.
This set is very nostalgic for me. Before I had video games of my own I would play Atari 2600 and Colecovision at my grandparents house.

Problem is you can buy the real thing much cheaper. Lego pricing has gotten out of hand.
