Meg is just too cute. Great video Simon. I received my copy of Gathering Time, all I can say is WOW. Good job Simon. Love dysfunctional family but didn't realize that was lost as well.PITTY. Thank you for the excellent book.
Simon, couldn't help but notice the type of ball Meg was playing with, my dog also plays with this type of rubber ball. My vet has noticed that his teeth are noticeabley worn down from chewing it, please be careful. Oh and by the great photography. Regards Neil.
High Simon. What a lovely adventure wonderful woodland, nature at its lichen laden best. Makes me ache to be in Scotland. Great to hear the phrase SNAFFU, something often said by old sparks like myself . All the best to you and Meg.
Your love of woodlands always comes through in your work Simon, but also in your videos and the way you articulate your thoughts out loud. Coincidentally I just picked up a copy of Outdoor Photography today, for the first time in at least year, and to my delight you're featured in there. My mother-in-law had a quick skim through the magazine and went straight to your image with the rowan in the foreground and its red berries - as her favourite image.
Many thanks as always :-D I'm glad you enjoyed the article too! My images weren't printed very well in OP, but it was great putting the article together :-)
Exhilarating, every episode of your journey simon , Absolutely Beautiful work , Breathing, seeing your passion & creativity is just so inspiring, Also the very best companion in meg .
Yet another inspirational video Simon, I have a copy of your book Gathering Time which I keep going back to time and time again and I would love to see another one in the future
Simon, excellent video . The images are spectacular. I was going to ask what the brown mounds were and then you answered. Thanks again for taking us along. Beautiful work my friend.
Another inspiring video, and a beautiful location. Thinking of those moss-covered trees, I would love to see what you could conjure up in my current local woodland, the infamous Aokigahara Jukai (Sea of Trees) in Japan. Someday maybe…!
Hi Simon. I've been looking forward to this episode and it doesn't disappoint ! I imagine you're already planning your return visit to this wonderful location. There's something very special about May's greens particularly when you have great light. Great advice about not going flat out on photography breaks. I'll bear that in mind on future ! Many thanks for sharing another excellent vlog Simon.
Hi Simon, thanks for another great video. I am following you for years now due to the fact that I also love to be in the woods. Sadly my local forests are not as spectacular as the ones you have got on hand. BUT - the main reason to watch is the four legged black "monster" called Meg :-)). Keep on. Best wishes for both of you from Germany, Hans
I have a rare few days to get away for photography up in the Scottish Highlands in october and youve inspired me to go to at least one rainforest. Did you cover a large area or ever need to navigate with map and compass etc?
Total Jawdroppingincredulization! (Yea that’s a word in Oregon!). Makes the pine and fir forests here look a tad bit bland! Must say that if it was me pulling that branch out of the way, I would have done a double quirk twist head over teakettle into the creek! Thanks for sharing such a magical place!
..Robert Brown...Odd..I was just thinking how similar the Oregon rainforests are to Simon's trees in this video. Lots of Old man's beard, moss and bracken in twisted old trees. Beautiful work Simon!
On “Gathering Time” … the finest woodland photography book I’ve seen, a pleasure to read, I go back to it time and time again!
Thank you very much Larry 😀
Such a wonderful Video!!! Inspiring!!!! And as always LOVE seeing Meg!!! And also love the Meg cup.
Magical scenery, masterful photography. Thank you.
I like how you "sponsor" your own videos. I'd buy your book in a heartbeat ... if I wouldn't own a copy already ;)
Thank you very much, Simon! Awesome forest, great photos!
Fantastic video Simon and beautiful photos thank you for sharing really enjoyed it
Some of those trees are just so beautiful! I really enjoyed seeing Meg though.
The title says it all. Thanks Simon
Hi Simon, Thank you for sharing - I've just ordered your book "Gathering Time" - I think I need another trip to Scotland and not just the Cities!

'Snafu' were a great band from the 70's, try the track 'Back in the USA' - You are still THE BEST for Woodland Photography!
Thank you very much 😄
Thank you!
Meg is brilliant, such a star! Your photos aren't half bad either! 😉Lovely video again Simon.
Just amazing!
In this second instalment I love the way you have approached less than perfect conditions and light to craft the images.
Much appreciated as always, Peter :)
Another outstanding video Simon 👍

Many thanks for your kind comment Tim! I think greens in June can also be nice but the months seem to be flying by these days :-o
Wonderful video this week, Simon. I really like the photo's you've taken in that ancient rainforrest, looking forward to your next book! ;-)
Thank you very much :-D

Thank you very much Hans! Meg says hi :-P
Thank you for another great video, Simon! I always love watching them and I enjoyed the wonderful images you took!
Beautiful video of the Atlantic rain forests again Simon. All the lush mosses create a beautiful atmosphere you captured in your own calming style 👏🏻
I have a rare few days to get away for photography up in the Scottish Highlands in october and youve inspired me to go to at least one rainforest. Did you cover a large area or ever need to navigate with map and compass etc?
Inspirational as always Simon, these rainforests look a lot like Tasmania or the South Island of N.Z .

👍👍👍🇩🇪
Why use 10 words, when 500 will do. ;) Nice shots Simon. Thank you.
I'm cztching up on missed videos today. I've been out of touch lately.
Why did you leave your bag, on the tripod, to dance in the breeze? Not worried about introducing camera shake and slightly blurry photos?
It's just a small cover for the tripod head. There's no weight to it and absolutely no affect on such a big sturdy tripod :-)
Ok, cool.
