I've seen 2 in my life. Both were in Johnson bayou, Louisiana. One when I was a kid and we were checking on some cattle in the coastal marsh. One in college I killed that had half plumage
@@agranger17377able I've been shooting limits of Cinnamons the last couple of weeks in california. I'll trade yall Cinnamons for canvasbacks & bluebills. They are all over the pacific flyway.
They’re all over the place in Utah during the spring. I’ve seen over 50+ in the last 2 months. I also shot 2 of them in late October here as my first ducks.
@@carsonridd depends on where you hunt. If you hunt the East coast you could get easiest get a black duck but anywhere in the west it would be a once in a lifetime bird
Like in kern county we pass up on cinnamons because they taste like shit lol but they are pretty unless theirs nothing flying every duck that comes in is getting shot at. My friend got pissed at me for shooting at cins cause we had so many birds flying lol
Hey Bobby!!! My hubby says we have tons of those cinnamon teals everyday and we have one playing in our dugout right now! We’re in southern Alberta, Canada and they’re gorgeous and so elegant to watch! 😀
Sweet new lens man. Looks like those Cali boys tear them Cinnamon Teal up. Think I've only killed 2 the whole time I've been hunting, and they were by accident. LOL
I killed a beautiful drake cinnamon teal at delevan wildlife refuge about 2 years ago in southern california , and i got it mounted on my wall it’s beautiful.
I’ve shot a cinnamon teal 2 tears ago first time I ever saw one and it was in star valley Wyoming and usually we only get mallards and wood ducks and only Canadian geese
I'm 66 years old. Hunted ducks all my life. Kansas Oklahoma Texas. Dakotas. I've seen exactly one cinnamon teal. Here in Washington state. In the spring on a puddle in a wheatfield. Unmistakable. Bright orange looking.

Cinnamon teal come back to Montana every year to breed during the summer. They are common on small ponds from June through August. They never stick around until hunting season unfortunately. Beautiful bird.
We see Cinnamon teal here in East Texas. My buddy shot two of them last year. I shot a Goldeneye last season. I thought I would never see one hunting down South.
That's odd I've hunted all over Texas shot alot of kinds of ducks out there, but I've never seen them there. Not saying you havent seen or shot them in Texas. I've shot alot of them in California.
We get a bunch of cinnamons in ca. I missed 3 last year because I suck, but they’re everywhere in ca. I shot one that wasn’t plumed on opening day at the los Banos refuge as well.
I went on a journey to Cali from Alaska and shot a Cinnamon teal there STUDS. Here in Alaska we barley get plumage birds some times we get green heads and pintails late October tho 😂.
Never seen a cinnamon but last late December my dad and I were out on northeastern Lake Ontario and he shot a Barrow's goldeneye which is a west coast bird. Your videos help me learn so much about duck and goose hunting. I'm 14 and have been in the field with my dad since I was 4.
Shoot cins in northern Utah, especially in early season and get beautiful cins in late late season. Shot a banded drake cinnamon teal about 4 years ago an he sits on my wall
Cinnamon teal found in two places I and my wife have seen regularly. First is i Benton lake national wildlife refuge. Second is Freezeout lake wildlife management area. Both are outside of Great Falls Montana. Both sites have waterfowl hunting in designated areas as well as not hunting breeding sites.
Hey Bobby right now isn’t the best I just got tested and positive for Corona but when I watch your video make me think of hunting again thanks for always making my days better

That is awesome Bobby! I shot my first cinny 2 years ago up here in Nebraska. And had no clue they were in the central flyway. I've only seen one out in Alaska along the rivers south of Fairbanks.
I’ve hunted almost every season in southwest Louisiana since 1987 and have never seen one dead or alive. Beautiful bird. I’ve always wanted to shoot one and mount it
They are a lot more common in the Pacific flyway. We had a number of them in the spring/ fall in SW Wyoming. I live (~10 years) in NW Missouri now and I see at least one a year more often in the spring.
Around big lake wildlife management area in Northeast Arkansas. I am from southern Illinois, went hunt there about 15 years ago. Great time and great people. As always Bobby great job.

I am located in Yuma, AZ. They are everywhere here. Went out fishing today and stumble on a big group of cinnamon teal that hasn’t left the area yet. We harvest between 20-30 total drake this past season although I did harvest 4 cinnamon in 1 shot. Great season though.
They are quite abundant in the Great Salt Lake area. This past week I was bass fishing and had 2 drakes and a hen flying around me. I just wish they stayed around like the green wings because they almost all gone before the youth season even comes.
Bobby, im just north of you in MP county. I too have only seen one cinnamon teal in my 20 years of waterfowl. Spring of 2018 turkey hunting in northern MP county i went past a small creek. Just happened to glance over and there was a STUD cinny with 2 stud bluewings. Pretty birds for sure
