This is once again, this is the best deck I’ve ever used. I’ve beaten decks I’ve never thought I could using Endymions, and overtime I am still learning how try utilize them. I don’t always face Kashtira or Purrely or Spright, so having different routes to go in order to tackle things is a MUST!!
Awesome! Yup. It surprises me that some people think it’s not as good as it is. I mean I know it’s not at the top. But the versatility this deck offers is amazing. Also you never have to really worry about the ban list for it lol
This deck’s versatility and reliability is what does it for me from a competitive standpoint. Maybe my other decks have handtraps or board breaker staples but Endymions have proven to me that it’s trustworthy to bring me to victory even when going second. I’m so happy that my first mechanic I’ve ever used is competitive in today’s format.
Going through nearly all of the past and present vid replays of Endymion, TRULY he is one of the GOATs of pendulums esp. w/ Shadow being like Yugi and TFA being Joey to promote this deck. I've seen Endymion being utilize as best as possible overcoming Flows, Tears, Runicks, Trashtira, etc.
BUT I've yet to see what it can do against...itself, hope to see a Mirror Match if I didn't catch it in previous vids.

I appreciate the kind words, Katakuna! I never really thought of the Yugi/Joey dynamic in any of the videos, but that’s very nice to hear.
As for Endymions being able to be utilized against itself, I’ve only ever seen another Endymion deck 2 or 3 times in the 2 years this game has been out for. It’s one of the rarest decks to encounter it seems and I’d imagine that it’s because of how difficult it is to use. For the times I went against the deck, one was me going second and making a huge comeback victory and the other was me losing to Secret Village because I had no normal summons.
For a logical way to determine who would win between 2 Endymion duelists, it would strongly matter if the Endymion duelist who goes first knows what deck he’s facing off against. The reason Endymions are able to break boards as efficiently as they do is because most of the meta is all about monster negates or graveyard disruption. And that’s primarily because that’s exactly the most prominent kind of effects to activate (monster effects). So whenever I use Endymions, I always prioritize Jackal Kings on the field because I’m more likely to see monster effects I need to stop (though I always try to summon at least one Endymion in the instances of board breakers). If an Endymion player didn’t know he was going against another Endymion player, he’d probably summon 3 jackal kings and 2 Endymions. When I look at a board like that, I always say “he’s only got 2 negates” and I can play through boards like that. But if the Endymion player knew who he was going against, he’d prioritize more Endymions on the field and maybe even have Selene for a 3rd and 4th s/t negate. So when that happens, it becomes next to impossible to win like that. It all depends on how many Endymions the opponent summons.
I would love to see more Endymion duelists in ranked to test this theory but the more Endymion duelists you see, the more likely the deck will be on Konami’s radar. And this deck is almost immune to the banlist (except for Electrumite).
Y’all might need to go back and add some commentary on that second duel because that one was INSANE. Multiple times I’m like there’s no way he can come back from this 😂 amazing play with some tasteful top decks.

I like it! The power of setting up a 5 negate board that gets wiped after getting maxx c’d, then the sweet Might Master follow up. Institution collecting counters comes in so clutch.
@@cooper6134: I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It was undoubtedly one of my craziest duels ever. Most epic games have me breaking a crazy board. More epic games than that have them breaking my board and then me making a comeback. But this was the only time I’ve ever had my board broken twice and then broke my opponent’s board twice. It was incredible.

If it's an endymion spellbook,I can remember when this deck was a nightmare to deal with on the legacy of the duelist evolution.

Only 3-4 Spellbook cards in the deck. And I used to play it without the engine. Glad to still show that Endymions is to be reckoned with.
After playing with vaylants, i decided to dismantle it and craft endymion, still learning tho. Appreciate much when you’ll have live stream again for tutorials

Endymions are definitely worth it. As the video shows, it’s gotten me to m1 every season. It’s definitely a timeless deck as it can take on much of the meta still.
Endymion still being playable is a little crazy but if I remember shadow was in more pain than ever on this last ranked grind. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to hit M1 as a new endy player. Glad it isn’t me lol
Hahahah yeah. Being able to take your fav archetype to the max rank every time though I bet is the most rewarding thing ever
Last season, I was in extreme pain, Go2It. I try to warn every new Endymion player that this new format is very difficult for Endymion. But M3 to M1 was a breeze so hopefully that’s a sign of things to come.
So with 27 called by the graves, has he ever had a starting hand with nothing but CbtG? 😂😂

ok nvm if u live its probably early morning here in europe so i watch the vid of endymion if it comes out, just wantedt to ask if that deck shadow play is also beginner friendly cause i find one from Fafnir Master duel 2 days old with endymion deck from his viewers would also like to learn shadows opinion on that deck list and if that deck is beginner friendly for Endymion new player? hope u can give me some answers and i appreciate ur great and hard work
I would say that it has its details as far as learning it or Atleast for me it took a little bit of time. I have also heard feedback of people still trying to learn it after a while. I would say though it’s well worth it to put the time in to learning it. The live will be 8 hours from the time of this comment. I’ll have shadow answer as well as he knows more then I do.

@@loltank1298: I’ll go into more depth on this question in the livestream but the short answer is . . . No. This deck is not beginner friendly. While other decks use the same combo every time, this deck requires you to improvise your combos and outplay your opponent with them. There’s also the outside factors of anticipating every disruption your opponent has and playing your cards in a specific order to not be vulnerable to the disruptions or to have negates when vulnerable cards are activated. If someone is to learn this deck, they should play a ton in solo mode to get used to it as the current meta is very unforgiving.

Just need to adjust the plays. Or maybe the deck. But it’s most definitely able.
Endymions have a good time against Swordsoul. My favorite meta was actually the Swordsoul meta because of how capable Endymion was at taking them on. Kashtira isn’t too difficult to take out if they don’t know to go for your scales. The hard matchups are Lab and Purrely.

My my, I didn’t realize how many replays we had with tons of interaction. And people still want to say that this deck just negates everything if it goes first and gets negated by everything when it goes second.

what line do you set up under maxx c?
It’s going to be situational depending on the hand but typically going for pend summon and get out as many negates so they only draw 1-3 cards but let me have shadow answer this a better way
You usually want to assess your hand. If you have multiple negates in hand already, do as many searches as you can and pendulum summon them out to give your opponent just one draw. Usually what I do though is I play under Maxx C. I resolve Servant and link into Electrumite for two draws. And then I pen summon 4 negates in 3 summons. Sometimes I even link into Selene and resolve Magister for 6 negates in 5 summons. Then I prioritize negating board breakers so that I survive the turn and get tons of follow up. It usually works out.

Why not insert sky striker ? That would be good when u have only a link monster b4 summon the pendulum, coz sky striker use a lot spell type

So I’ve seen that the Striker variant is a popular way to build the deck, but from what I’ve seen, it doesn’t seem to be the most optimal way to use the deck. I’ve had other people ask me to critique their Endymion duels and they used the sky striker engine, and every game they used it, it seemed like both engine were competing for utility in the deck rather than both of them working together. In fact the sky striker engine was the cause for a majority of their bricks because they had to maneuver around their own striker cards to try and find an optimal way to use everything, almost like they were walking through a mine field that wasn’t necessary to walk through.
I found that whenever playing this variant, you’d have to choose between neglecting your Endymion cards by prioritizing the sky strikers engine or using your Endymion cards and being unable to utilize your skystriker cards. It sounds like it would have excellent synergy in theory, but then you have your servant and magister at 8 and 7 spell counters respectively. Then you need to commit to the field and all those counters go to waste. That isn’t including if you draw into your sky striker garnets in the wrong order (like drawing widow anchor or multi roll and drawing engage after there’s nothing left to search). It adds another layer of things to play around in the deck that don’t seem necessary.
This is all just from my experience however. If you’ve used the sky striker engine and found great utility in it, keep going with it.

@@shadowspector3611 Thats wild I actually looked over the cards and I could honestly run it with like 6 UR and still make plays 🤔 when you’re watching it pop off and blow apart your field it feels like they are all UR cards 😂
