    I used to use the left & right hand cutters to cut straight. That's probably why I had so much trouble cutting straight lol. Thanks for sending this to me. Great post, very informative. Clarity of this video is excellent ! HD on You Tube lol !

    This, along with Metal forming part 2 are great introductory videos for those who are ignorant on the subject like myself.
    Really didactic and very very helpful.

    @1MPALASS the template is just the piece of paper, is to save you from wasting metal. Its like laying down your hand on a surface so you can draw a turkey around it, its just to show a line that you can trace.

    Concerning the two levers on the slip roller, what if you have one lever adjusted so that it's higher than the other? Can you make a funnel with the disproportionate degree of curves?

    @1MPALASS oh you trying to pour molten metal into a mold? Like the same process for forming a sword? This is a bit more advanced because it is involving temperatures that require special and expensive equiptment. Im wondering what type of metal you are using, the only casting I have done is with aluminum, Also just like glass you need to heat the metal high enough to get it into a molten state, then pour it into your cast, then it needs to be placed in a kiln which is used to slow the

    @smoothjamskillmoure exactly
    at the beggining i was using lead but it was a total fail for flexing so easily
    then aluminum but it keeps breaking my molds

    @smoothjamskillmoure temperature decrease. Basically you cant really have most building materials lowering their temperature too quickly because they dont have time to "anneal" (not sure if thats the right word) and if they arent allowed to do that it will crack. I doubt marble is a good material to be using as a mold, for aluminum we used slurry, which is kinda dangerous to inhale, either way, whatever your doing sounds like you need a real life teacher so you can do it safely.

    Sir, You should practice some more and then go to DIY network or something. You have the right voice for the job. Kinda like the Mr Rodgers of metal working. You could even put your velcro tennis shoes on before you start the show.
