Your reaction to all the enemies waiting for you is so relatable. AND YOU DID SO WELL! Calling for Lump and his crew was the right choice and you made it through. And now you've met face to face with both Minthara and Mizora, two very deadly but gorgeous ladies that you will meet again later in your adventure. I love this series so very much! Half-time comment: Non-lethal attacks can be any melee attacks - not spells or ranged. You didn't kill her. Hold Person could be pretty helpful for you, both Shadowheart and Gale have it, maybe try it out. 31:03 Magic Missile can shoot around corners. Pretty useful here. Probably should have said this earlier, but Halsin and other characters that aren't strictly part of your party are mortal. No revives. Although I think Halsin was fine as he still has human-health after running out of bear-health.
around CORNERS?? well that’s it then. We’re done! No more challenges! Ha! Wonderful! I want to go out and pick a fight with more drunken gobbies right now! I’m very glad we didn’t know about Halsin’s mortality until now! I think it would have affected any bravado we had! Good to know though.
@@dilberryplays Yep indeed. It may last longer, depending on the opponents saving throws, and also improves attacks against them (especially close ranged ones). Would be good against a character like Minthara. Although it can only be used against humanoids (mostly these are any playable races, or goblins, bugbears, etc) as Zaraklani says. I also discovered just now that if you cast Command with a level 2 spell slots you can target 2 enemies at once!
Hullo again, Master Dilberry, Just a bit extra that I thought about: if you're using Hold Person, it will only work on humanoids. So for example it won't work on Ethel the hag as she is considered a Fey. You can examine creatures you're in combat with to see what they are ( humanoid, fey, undead, etc .). This will also show you any weakness or resistance they have . This is especially helpful as some spells only affect certain types of creatures.

I’ve had an unusually crummy, dark week, but sinking into the cozy, unpredictable atmosphere of Dilberry Towers has provided me a safe place to laugh and adventure, to feel joy and silliness and connection to other in strange, hard times. ❤️ Thanks as always for the work you do for us, Dilberry! And send my thanks to Monument as well, I suppose, he’s actually a very good record-keeper.

As you probably realise by now there was a reason that Mizora appeared when she did…..we took a wrong turn by accident and had to go back in time where we could….which was BEFORE all our hard won battling. Enjoy the RERUN. Coming imminently…..things unfolded rather differently and there were some other battle shaped surprises. A lot of by - skin - of - teeth moments and we are still licking our wounds as we consider our next steps to help the Tieflings with Halsin…. We feel you with us. D.

OK, serious talk, if you go into the mountain pass, it "ends" the first chapter. Various events occur and existing quests are no longer available. You can still go back to the starting area, but it won't be the same. I'm not sure if you triggered it, but could trouble if so. The next area is likely much more difficult, so you'd want to come back to get more XP, but I'm not sure which stories are still available.
An unexpected moment to be sure! We elected to follow the advice of The Disembodied Narrator and presume we were transported back to our favourite camp, outside of Gobby territory, so did not venture any further up the road that tempted…When we are somewhat rested here, we will talk with our Companion to hopefully find out more regarding the distressing events that suddenly unfolded…..

Update from the field......it seems we did indeed make a mistaken choice at the unknown road and having spent a protracted time in camp, we left and discovered our timeline had been ALTERED UTTERLY! Our only option is to use Faerun’s provision of a fixed place in time to return to……our camp BEFORE the two greatest battles of our lives……..and relive them. We will. You will see the results soon. Tis worth it for the Tieflings.

Just watch out for the chasm and pits nearby (or make use of them). That bridge looked a little rickety too. As for the outside area - this feels a little like cheating, but right now I think it's earned - you can just fast travel out of the Goblin temple using your map and clicking on a distant waypoint. Do we need to XP from fighting that lot though?
If Dilberry the Pickles ever retired from being a 'Proven Professional ROMANCING Rogue Elf Adventurer' and took up dentistry, would he then be a 'Proven Professional ROMANCING Rogue Elf Denturer'?
Trying not to be spoilery, however you maybe might want to see if theres an autosave before heading into the mountain path... If you return to the grove and the Tieflings are gone... You kinda cut yourself off of the SHeart romance path and possibly also 2 new party members 💀 On the other hand the absolute chaotic order you have been doing these act 1 quests is pretty entertaining and very much in line with how most D&D groups operate, so I guess either way you're gonna have a fun time... Or a reason to do a 2nd play in the future 😂😂😂
Khane. We have had a NIGHTMARE. It's been TERRIBLE. ....... It seems that our curiousity whisked us off into a completely new reality, where we could no longer pursue Halsin to The Grove.....we couldn't even get INTO The Grove. We only discovered this after a good deal of time preparing at our favourite camp, only to discover on leaving......that we were in a different region entirely. Our only recourse was to take the provision this world offers of a fixed place in the past to begin from...... Unfortunately this was before our two battles, with Minthara and then the WHOLE OF GOBBY CIVILISATION. We accepted, as we want to see the Tieflings safe and so returned to this timeline. We are exhausted. Curiousity and a disembodied voice.....PAH. And the choice we made we THOUGHT was......"Yes" we wish to return to camp and continue, HOWEVER turned out to be "Yes" we wish to continue on into uncharted territory.......hmmmm....odd even so that such a choice would mean the loss of quests important to our heart....curiosity is always how we will err... Thankfully, Faerun's time capsule provision has.........helped? Thank you for your message. We feel you with us, despite not being able to feel our own hands.... Enjoy the battles we attempted.......again....
