Thanks for both of your reviews. I'm considering buying these, and probably still will but will apparently need to order some Aqua seal, at least in a year or so. :-) I like that they only have the one seam down the front versus the multiple seams around my knee in my Orvis waders. One seam will make it easier to address. Thanks again for the well done review
I wish I saw this before I bought mine. Thought I was upgrading. TWO MONTHS and my right leg leaks. It’s a 5-7 week turnaround and steelhead season is starting soon. Regretting this purchase so much right now
The thing about 'cheap' waders is that the booties can be really uncomfortable and based on Amazon reviews the neoprene wears out fast which is not easy to repair. BTW doesn't Simms have lifetime (of product) warranty?
Mine leaked before the year so bad that I would end the day drenched in crotch area. I sent them in just before the 1 year mark. Not going to lie super disappointed and might have to take your advise and get some cheaper pairs and rotate. Makes me think that getting the gortex ones isnt worth it.
Washington state's Dryft waders! I've had them 5 years now and no leaks or seeps!
I got like 2.5 years out of my tributaries and I always fish gnarly country. Not a ton of fishing but I’m happy w/ them.
1 year without a leak is pretty good. I fish hard and bushwhack. My Freestones barely leak (pin holes) after 4 years.
i think they were just in a bad batch. Simms replaced them out of warranty without charing the extra fee

I just got back from my last trip and they now leak every where unfortunately.
@@BendItFishing thank you very much for saving me $300 👊💯

My second pair is holding up so far. Just Amazon something is the best bet
Did you ever buy those two pairs of cheap waders? Brand?
Haven't yet, I sent back the pair I glued/ patched and they sent me new ones for free. Until they start leaking again
great video! Hindsight is always 20/20. Your opinion if you feel its worth it to get G3 or Pantagonia Swiftcurrent now that you experienced this.
Probably not, too much money if they are also going to leak
I believe g3 have a lifetime warranty
Excelente!! I have the same wader, is the simms warranty not working?
It is but this was past a year and I needed them soon. The patch didn't work so I sent them in and they sent me a new pair for free.

They have different lengths of warranty. 60 no questions asked. 1 year repair on them and past one year $60 for repair and min 3 weeks to wait.

That's what I'm hearing they are either great for a few years or leak immediately!
How long did the patch work?
Like a month then all the other seams failed
my Simms Freestone Waders is leaking bad after 1.5 year as you mentioned...
It's like they expire!
