Hi! I am from Alberta Canada and just diecied to try beading. After about a month I found you doing these earings. I am trying to learn alot of stitches and after about 15 tries got the celini spirel. You have just taught me the brick stitch and i haven't had so much fun and finished a pair with a few mistakes but was so pleased with your teaching I just loved you. Thank you so much and I had so much fun. Will be looking for you more and I;m sure to buy from you. Maria

Hello Maria💕 Thank you for your kind comment😀 I just did another video on this earring called Flinging a Mini - it's the same earring using a Swarovski mini bead! It's only one video and I'm much improved with my camera skills😄🤓😍 I'm glad you enjoyed this video and you are very kind 🌷💕💜

I think using the pin or a head pin is genius, because when I tried to make something like this without the pin I could NOT get them straight. I'm a fan of that phenomenal designer, too. Thanks for the tips!

Hi Stephaine, Firstly I am not on face book. I am gathering some designs of JP and Gina that I have done. I have added to or changed the design and then will send by email so that they can see what I have done. The new second video was great. I am a Needle Artist (Blackwork and Needlework) and I have only been beading for just over a year (still with the "L Plates on) and I do make mistakes - big ones. It can some times be a little scary when yours "just doesn't look the expert's". Your style of teaching helps to overcome those feelings. You also show how to develop your own imagination for those beading along with you. Showing and talking about your own errors helps us to feel OK about our own work. Your method of teaching is a little mixture of JP, Gina, Ruby, Kelly and Jill. If you are just starting out in making videos, may be watching how they present their videos so that you could learn how its done might help you but I think your style is great - you feel as if your in the room with your best friend or as JP and I say - "Sisters in beading" I feel that you will do well. Chris.

Thank you for the remake on the video, it looks much better. I found your site yesterday and I made the heavenly hematite bracelet. Mine is in shades of purple. Turned out beautiful. I was looking for earrings and I found Spring Fling. Love them, my project for tomorrow. Keep on posting, love your site.

I take my dog to a local lake in the summer and bead there at a picnic table.

Gael, I cut it off. The thread has gone around so many times that I think it's secure.

Thank you verrrrry much for this video series. My first thought is this: you mention being a huge fan of "another bead designer" who uses this technique. Well, me too -- but I have to disagree with you when you say you don't think your earrings are in the same league because, quite frankly, the other (quite famous) designer's pieces are waaay wonkier than yours. I think the technique of using the straight pin to keep the design aligned better is perfect. On symmetry: my two cents' worth is that in a piece as small as an earring, having the same number of beads on either side is a good policy especially when using beads as uniform as facets, bicones and delicas. I'm certainly interested in any interpretations you are able to come up with on other brick stitch designs!

I'm new to beading ad would like to make your Spring Fling earrings. Where do you get your center crystal and what is it called? Is it a pendant? I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

Vicki - The supplies for this earring are written in the description box of the Spring Fling Earrings Part 1 video. If you are new to bead weaving, a tutorial on brick stitching around a bead would be helpful if you are going to attempt this more advanced earring. I will upload a video on brick stitch around a bead in a few days to help you : ) Good luck and have fun!!!

First of all thank you so much for doing such detailed tutorial on those earrings. I always loved the earrings from this particular designer too, they are so delicate and gorgeous. As for the tutorial, when I watched the first part I was wondering if putting 7 gold delicas on one side of the drop bead and 8 gold delicas on the other side made the whole thing so difficult. This unequally numbers of beads on the both sides of the drop bead would continue with every further row. But I see in this re-do here you have corrected this and now there are 7 gold delicas on every side. Please forgive my bad english, it's not my mother tongue. I hope you understand what I was trying to say.

Did you sew in the tail or just cut it off when you were done? Thx!
