Our boss wanted us to try all the flavors so we could offer a real opinion on a flavor to our customers. By the end of the day I'd come home reeking of the chocolate dip top and my chest would be covered in a splattering of ice cream from the Blizzard machine. But....when I do indulge those were my favorites. :) Although...I wonder how the s'mores with a little coffee kick to it would taste? Lately I have been enjoying the DQ s'mores shakes. I can remember when the temps rise more people came in for ice cream and the school lunch hour rush. My high school had "open lunches" where the kids could eat out if they wanted. I only had two classes to complete in the morning my senior year so I would go from school to home to change and then I worked from 11 to 5 at DQ. It was fun making the ice cream treats and I was a pro and making my own curl (the hallmark of the DQ cone). ;)
I know I've said it before but I really admire how hard you work and still have time for your sweet doggies, kids, home and husband. You are a superwoman! 🥰🥰🥰
You and the kids did so good! You so deserve the s`mores! I understand more now, how stressful of a job this is for you as the owner. A lot of responsibility! And the occasional sassy customer to top it of 😂 Wishing you a great week, Rene! Blessings from Norway 😊
I know what you mean about getting away for a break, just getting out of the building is calming, lol! One of the best things you are teaching your children by example is a strong work ethic. I'm so glad I came across your channel, you are always an inspiration. Good health to you and your family. Oh, Randy deserves an extra hug for helping when you need it.
Wow Renee, I’m amazed you are still walking after an 11 hour shift. You have a lot of stamina! May I ask if the rolling of the ice cream was your concept? Love catching up with you and it was lovely seeing some of your Staff. Sad that we didn’t get a glimpse of Randy, Maxxie & Pollux. Love and kisses from Western Australia 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
Loved working on the sidelines with you today! My step counter would've been at 200! 😂. I like watching the ice cream coming together like that and yes it is a nice "show" for the customer while they wait, which isn't long. My daughter works & delivers for a pizza place and she gets more than her share of ultra sassy customers. After 2 years it still bothers her. Comes with working with the public. I've been there too years ago. You worked hard today but you're always cordial and polite. Rest up!
The ice cream looks so delicious I have to say I’m so impressed at how clean you keep your shop. I’m one of those when I go anywhere to eat I scan the place to see if it’s clean and your ice cream shop is perfection! I’m exhausted watching lol I need a cup of coffee! Loved coming along P.s. Butter Pecan’s my favorite it looks to die for! ☺️
Your shop, just like your home, is immaculate. I wish I lived nearby because I’d love to try the chocolate peanut butter 😋. Yum I’m tired just watching you on your feet all day. You must be exhausted. Randy is such a good guy to help out. I hope all goes well with the sale. You will be successful with anything you do. ❤️
Wow!!!…this is amazing to watch!…your ice cream shop is spectacular!!!!….thank you so much for sharing your day at work with us!!!!…you rock, Renee!!!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Wow....being a Boss Lady is very hard work! You manage to keep your sense of humor. Working with the public is not easy. I hope Sassypants returns with an apology. I LOVE ice cream...Strawberry with some chocolate and Birthday cake are my go-to flavors!
I learned that you are an amazing businesswoman; so calm, professional and an inspiration to all the young people who work there with you. Hope you had the next day off! Thanks again.
Hi 👋Renee, I Can relate when you said starting to wilt. I worked 2 jobs for 7 years, said the same phrase.. My fave has always been butter pecan. But boy that smores sure looked delicious😋. It's like you have 2 jobs with UA-cam, I give you lots of credit! Everything about your shop is adorable😍
Thank you for taking us all with you to your ice cream shop. Always enjoy! You are so full of creative ideas and energy. Absolutely brilliant and intriguing how you implement each new idea. Will be sad to see you sell shop however looks like well deserved break. Cannot wait to tag along on next adventure with you and Randy. Your ice cream shop is top on my bucket list. We do not have anything remotely close to this nearby. Closest is 1500+ miles away in Paducah, KY. Chillax and enjoy kicking your feet up by pool. 🏖😎😎✌️🐶🐶❤️🙋🏻♀️

I’m glad your all day shift is over! It’s nice to see how your shop works .. I hope soon you will talk about your new low calorie diet and how your doing with it . 😊
I really enjoyed this. Thank you. I'm really sorry you had sassy person. I have worked customer service my whole life. Just remember to breath. I had someone sass me for 30 minutes. The customer behind them told me to put up a big mirror behind me so they could see themselves. I did. Yes, it worked. I went home and just cried.
Your shop is unique (like you) I have not heard of rolled ice cream. Looks delicious and a workout for the arms. You and your staff are hard workers, thanks for showing us what is involved. Hope there are no more long shifts in your future.
Good morning! Lawdy! No wonder your “dawgs are barking” at the end of the day! OMG, can’t believe someone actually got sassy with you!! Won’t miss that about working retail will you? Great video! Hope you have a great day!!🐶🐾❤️
I admire your endurance Renee! In retail, you always have a sassy customer. Years ago while working at Mervyns one was reallly sassy and grab a pair of scissors and thru them.....WOWZA! Soak your toes, relax in your jammies and sleep well! ♥
Good Lord I'm tired watching you although I worked 12-hour shifts at the hospital three times a week and I wish I would have had that fit bud running up and down the hall, in any case you never seen the amaze me and you I always in such good spirit the ice cream shop will never be the same once you sell it but well deserved you're busy with other projects have a wonderful day
Thanx for sharing your work day. I enjoyed it. Makes you more ‘REAL’ to those who do not understand. Nice to share what you might put up with on a work day.
Hey Renee! My favorite flavor is Rocky Road. Lots of flavors I love but I would have to say that’s my go to. Thanks for taking us along. I enjoyed seeing how Craving the Curls works! I’m about 2 hours and 45 min away in Tennessee. Would love to come and try your ice cream! 🍨 🍦
You might wanna take a road trip this fall to her shop as it closes for the season soon and, since it is for sale, she may not own it this spring. I am sad that I live so far away to do a road trip. I'd have to do a vacation that includes flying.
I have never had rolled ice cream. Looks good. My favorite ice cream is CHOCOLATE. I dont know how you worked those long hours. I have worked a double shift because somebody didn't show up. So it was about a 16 hour shift. We also had to do paper work. Don't miss those days. I love your shop and thank you so much for letting us come. You looked pretty good after all that work you did.
Oh boy this is going to be interesting...hi Renee...I'm worn out just watching you... I know how it is I worked in Retail..so I was on my feet all day..Great job ...Hope you got some deserving rest...Hi to the Pollux,Max and Randy.....oh everything looks delicious!!!
You are really motivated! I could only do this once in a while when I was younger. It’s a great place!! I hope someday I can visit the shop, although I know you no longer own it. Thanks Renee!
It was amazing following you around. Who says work isn't a work-out? You get your steps in, girlfriend! LOL I have never seen ice-cream done that way, a first for me, very very interesting!
@@jacksonpeterson7080 I feel a little awkward to be honest. I did not put a profile picture up to get "that kind" of attention. For sure! Honesty? This creeps me the heck out!
Good morning Renee, visiting your ice cream shop is on my bucket list! Also, love your Italian Beef recipe, it's become a favorite of ours. Love from South Central Pennsylvania 💕
Hi Shari! Ooooo Italian Beef.....Randy mentioned that just the other day. It's something I cook when the weather gets cooler and it's starting to get crisp here. Better get out my crockpot! 😁
You are certainly one cool lady , in my home town there is a very famous ice-cream 🍨🍧🥡parlour called Lucas, people travel from miles away just to get Lucas in house made ice-creams,by the way me and your dog 🐶share the same birthday on the 18th June, I enjoy very much viewing your Vlogs with regards your dogs and your daughter's cats and the antics they get up too,I look forward to catching up with you all later, so all the best to you all in Kentucky.
Way to go Renee, you work very hard. Today I walked 22,390 steps from Logrono to Navarrete in Northern Spain from 7:30 to 12:30 for a total of 15.85 kms. Met up some wonderful people, came upon others that I have met before, arrived at the plaza en Navarrete to have a typical Rioja salad completa w/a nice cold beer. The people are wonderful and the landscape is dotted with the most famous wines of Spain. I must admit though, watching you mixing all those delicious ice creams made me Crave the Curls 😁😆😊😋
@@WelcomeToMyCurls You could do it AND have a wonderful time at it. I loved your long week-end visitors ... so very cute! Maxxie was like 'who are you?' to the kitty-cats whereas Pollux is the most chilled dude ... ever💖
Wow!! Never seen ice cream made that way. Where I live in Australia, you get a scoop of ice cream in a cone or cup from displayed tubs. Love how you pronounce pecan over there. So different to our pronunciation. 💕
Renee, looks like you have some dedicated employees there. Plus, it helps when the boss is willing to pitch in. My favorite ice cream is Huckleberry. Just got back from Montana. Maybe you could add that? Take a loooonnnnggg Judy tomorrow with dog snuggles. Awesome video.
Enjoyed watching but wow, that's a really long day on your feet. I've never had rolled ice cream. Considering I'm in a different country I'll have to see if there's a place around me that makes it. Mint chocolate chip is my favorite, but that butter pecan and s'mores ...delish!
I think you’ll easily get 5000 steps Renee! Love seeing your ice cream shop- so yummy. But l can understand it’s time for a change. Hope you get a buyer that will carry it on as you do 🧡 Poor poor feet. ..... but whooooh 7700.
Hi Rene.what an energy, still smile,,hope d Sassy costumer see your vlogs that she may understand that its not easy, how youre going through in there.a hug from your no.1 fan,a Filipina,a proud maid in Hongkong
Oh i forgot to say but my favorite ice cream is Coffee. But I have never had rolled ice cream and you have such a variety of goodies to mash up and add to all your flavors i'd never want to leave there. And definitely would want to hurry back. And Smores definitely sounds yummy.
I'm retired from the railroad and there were times when I was ready to go home and would be forced to stay a second shift and still had to be back to work in the morning. Don't miss those 16 hour days at all.
Hello, I'm Debbie Glisson from Paducah KY! I noticed that your business is across the street from The Market House. Your business looks like where my grandfather Fox had a restaurant when I was about 7 or 8. I used to cook my baby dolls hamburgers in the front window. I could go on and on about that building. Also my son ran a winery on the other side of the market house. It's a small world. Glad I found you! Maybe I'll run into you sometime. I live in Lone Oak now on Lovelaceville Road. Thanks for listening!
Oh wow Debbie!!! Hi! I don't know the history of the building other than there was an antique store in my space that had been there for about 20+ years. How cool is that knowing your grandfather had a restaurant there!!!
I'm more of a sherbet person and gravitate towards citrus and berry flavors but when I eat ice cream, I love soft serve the most and love a twist cone of chocolate and vanilla. I wish we had an ice cream shop like yours in our neighborhood, where they roll curls. I'd probably would frequent it often. I love how you incorporate those little extra treats into your flavors.
Bless you a long day you must be so tired but happy ,, hope you're employees have fun with all that's going on for them loved being with you in your beautiful and yummy shop hope your husben enjoyed his game looking forward to another exciting day with you guys. thanks again blessing from Israel 🇮🇱 the holy land to all nations
Well done Renee, I do about the same amount if steps in work day too, I just top it up to get over 10thous in my evening walk. Bet you wanted to make sasssy mouth a sassy ice cream with a chopped up lolly tongue.
I passed by this video and Iam very grateful you put a day In life of you operations . I aspire to open my own Ice cream shop so Iam looking on as a keen beginner
I just watched your video where you did your 30 day weigh in and discussed the challenges of your new food plan. I had to laugh when I saw this video. The #1 challenge for me would be owning and working in an ice cream store! I love how you curl the ice cream. We may have to plan a trip to Paducah. 🍨 🍦 🥤
Wow rolling ice cream who knew. I have never seen that before and wish I could get it around here where I live. Now I want some ice cream. Hopefully you will get a buyer for your shop and this will just be a memory
Love your Craving the Curls decor! Ever consider hair nets or some sort of head coverings for servers? The gloves give a customer confidence in food handling but head coverings provide even more confidence. Some cute Craving the Curls hats and a pony tails for long hair would be a cute confidence builder 🙂
I'm so late to comment but have to say I would love to work in your ice cream shop. I understand as a business owner you would be tired after a long shift on your feet.....but it does look fun (& fascinating making the various flavours) from an external perspective 🍦🍧🍨🙂 Only thing missing is your fluffy boys 😆💛💛💛
For some unknown reason, imma not Craving The Curls today but i AM craving pizza & ice cream … go figure! // and btw, my husband and I cruised the Mediterranean on a smallish sailboat during hippie years and guess what? Wherever we docked by Spanish towns, the women would sweep sidewalks right outside their properties-just like you did, Renee :) … 🍕 & 🍦
We vacation in Mexico during the winter. All of the local business owners there take so much pride in sweeping and cleaning the sidewalks in front of their stores. I love it! And that's where I learned it :)
Omg!!!! Was that Pizza Inn pizza? I’m from Missouri and they had the best pizza. I live in Louisiana now and they don’t have one. I’m sorry I got so excited. Great video and your ice cream shop is so cute and clean. I wish you could send some to Louisiana. One more thing I wanted to see your husband working the register. 😂 🍦
Renee, have you ever made a video about how you got into the ice cream business? That's a big step to open your own shop. I would be interested in hearing about it. 😀
loved your trip the outdoor market in Illinois. Wish I could have gone too!! Yep you and the Bgirl picked up some really cute stuff...I also loved that gray and pink plaid flannel shirt you got on line..would you mind telling me exactly where cause I'd love to have one. So enjoyed your Mom's BD party at LongHornes . Its my favorite too Happy belated BD to your Mom...You have a lovely family Lots of fun there..Your Mom is 6 yrs older than I am by the way.. Are you working in the icecream shop until you sell it?? Just wondered...bye for now
Hi Barbara! I ordered the flannel on Amazon...and I love it so much I now have 2 colors! Here's the link: MY PINK FLANNEL SHIRT (I'm wearing a small) amzn.to/3rildZd
I just ran across your channel. I love this because I have been thinking about starting a ice cream business. If you don’t mind can you tell me how you got started and if you make your own ice cream and I believe you did say you make your waffle cones? Wow this is my dream as well💗
Hi Renee! I feel your tiredness but think about the steps you've taken. Standing for extended periods of time is exhausting! Will you be having anymore cooking videos? 🤗
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Mine is s'mores 🔥🍫
I am ashamed to admit this but I have always wanted to try s’mores. ONCE, I bought a summer special of a boxed package for creating s’mores from a local grocery store and then drove to pick-up my bags of food-when I got home, the one item which had been stolen was the s’mores special. TRUE story. But my fave ice cream flavour is coffee, y.u.m.
Hi Mary, if you love coffee flavor, you need to try Mayfield Espresso Chocolate chunk- it’s heavenly!
Coffee, mint, or just plain vanilla bean...but I have to say my first job was at my hometown DQ and that was the year they came out with the Blizzards. Our boss wanted us to try all the flavors so we could offer a real opinion on a flavor to our customers. I also was one of the A-team employees and made a gazillion Buster bars, Dilly Bars and the like. By the end of the day I'd come home reeking of the chocolate dip top and my chest would be covered in a splattering of ice cream from the Blizzard machine. To this day I am not a huge fan of chocolate or ice cream...very, very sad to say.
It was fun making the ice cream treats and I was a pro and making my own curl (the hallmark of the DQ cone). ;)
I have many favorites, something Belgium chocolates, sometimes matcha green tea, sometimes Strawberry shortcake. Love them all.
Mint choc Chip, Caramel Swirl and Good old Clotted Cream.... 😋

While in New York this summer I had the best ice cream flavor ever…..salted caramel coffee!!!! Sooo good!!!
Oooo that does sound delish!
Hi there 😄 you've a gorgeous picture on your profile! Just decided to stop by and say hi!! I hope my compliment is appreciated 🤗

Oh i forgot to say but my favorite ice cream is Coffee. But I have never had rolled ice cream and you have such a variety of goodies to mash up and add to all your flavors i'd never want to leave there. And definitely would want to hurry back. And Smores definitely sounds yummy.
Thank you for your video. Nice to meet you.♥️♥️.
I love this lady , your channel has such a good vibe , I love your content 💕
Thank you so much!! 💗
Thanks for sharing. I work 12 hour shifts at times and it's no joke. You just want to go home find some food get cleaned up and go to bed.
I'm retired from the railroad and there were times when I was ready to go home and would be forced to stay a second shift and still had to be back to work in the morning. Don't miss those 16 hour days at all.
Hello,
I'm Debbie Glisson from Paducah KY!
That birthday cake one looks like it would be amazing!
Hi there 😄 you've a gorgeous picture on your profile! Just decided to stop by and say hi!! I hope my compliment is appreciated 🤗

THAT WAS FUN TO WATCH ! ! !
Renee i don't know how you did all that.Great job!!😊
That looks so amazing
Definitely S’Mores. Looks yummy 😋
I love how you called that one customer 'sassy'. 😄
Gosh....customers can be sooo sassy!
your ice cream looks so good i need to get to paducah ky oneday
Oh my gosh, Renee, I am exhausted just watching you. No wonder you want to sell your ice cream store. Good luck with everything.
U 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉r Awsome Renee Nd all your employees,Randy and of course the fur angels maxi n Pollux Godbless, your ice cream looks heavenly
my parents once had an ice cream shop😋😋😋
wow really!!?? Super interesting!
It sure was Pizza Inn. Yum!
Great music selection SisterFriend!!!😊🐶🐾❤️
You have brooks…. I love my brooks!!! I got the ghost 14 in two different colors
Your hair is gorgeous!
sweeping, great idea!
I wanted to see Randy, your ice cream looks delicious.

I just ran across your channel. I love this because I have been thinking about starting a ice cream business. If you don’t mind can you tell me how you got started and if you make your own ice cream and I believe you did say you make your waffle cones? Wow this is my dream as well💗
Hi! I have many videos on my channel about my ice cream shop. Check out the playlist called "Craving the Curls"
How/where did you get your cold top appliance for the ice cream rolls?
That was fun Rene. Did the kids clean up the pizza mess is the brake room?
My fav..butter pecan! Hi Renee!
Hi Renee! I feel your tiredness but think about the steps you've taken. Standing for extended periods of time is exhausting! Will you be having anymore cooking videos? 🤗
More cooking videos coming out this fall....just need things to slow down a bit for me first :)
