Hi Kev, like all your vids they're informative. Wife & I stayed here at Christmas and couple of weeks ago all inclusive, agreed rooms are a bit tired but they are not going to knock off a star for a few months. As you say a complete refurb from Jan 25, gonna take about 7/8 months. As if now the facilities are excellent the food is always first class, the staff are fantastic. Evening entertainment is ok, some very good, table service in the bars. We're choosy about quality of our holidays and this is the only hotel we have returned to and will definitely return again. Sound proofing in the rooms are brilliant, great nights sleep every night...
The hotel is set for a full refurb at the end of the year I believe. I'm booked in August, and seen a few reviews that all say the same - rooms needs updating, but lovely place. I'll bet once updated I can't afford it.
I love the gran. We were there last year and going again in September. We found the staff came up to give us water once we had checked in. They don't leave it in the fridge. The staff are spot on and the entertainment staff are a good laugh. Also the food is quality, especially if your all inclusive. We hammer the pool bar and restaurant multiple times a day! I do agree the rooms are a bit dated. Also room 486 has the best view.
It is due for a total refurbishment but it’s a fantastic hotel the atmosphere is lovely at night the prices do reflect their acknowledgment of the needed upgrades. I’ve paid the same price for the premier inn in St Andrews! The robes only fit the wanes 😂
Hi Kevin, enjoyed the video and totally agree with everything you have noted. We have stayed there for 10 nights just before Covid and although it was a nice hotel it was a bit dated for 5 star especially at the price. Staying at the Bahia principe this September although a bit further out it is of similar standard at a lot less. Keep up the good work. Erskine just outside Paisley 😂
We’re coming to Tenerife at Xmas staying in los americanos and was just wondering where’s best place people had a Sunday roast need a few ideas for Xmas dinner thanks in advance for any recommendations
Yes Kevin should definitely have coffee tea and biscuits and water for a five star wouldn't like the mirror behind the bed but it looks nice just a bit dated
Definitely need more privacy on the balcony for sure !! Bit dated like you said but should look good after the refurb ! £125 isnt bad at all for one night 👍🏻
The outdated furniture and the ancient tiles looks that its not 5 star hotel room.......but amazing view and just £125 a night, i think just worthy, deffo not bad
It's funny, Kevin, every time I watch your videos. I go online and check out the hotel on line . I'm only back from tenerife and I'm planning on going back .I was thinking about November time .I. not sure what's the weather Will be like
Furniture in room shabby. Bed and soft furnishings nice. £125 is ok but after refurbishing it will shoot up. Breakfast looks amazing. Would not stay here for more than a couple of nights. Your opinion was honest.
Great video Kevin looking for some advice. Poised to book hotel in ternerife for start of October 1 week break. Flights seem expensive right now. Would you advise I booked hotel and held off on flights? Do you have any tips on where and when to book cheapest flights?
Keep that robe n gie it tae the wifey fur chrimbo, sorted.we walk up by there then doon tae Barry’s.well used too😢😮very quite your room 👍rat holes😂😂😂.thanks fur the nosey
I've stayed here last July. Nice hotel, dated needs a refurb to keep up to a 5 star standard. There isn't anything wrong with the hotel though to be honest all fine, but fine isn't 5 star. Refurb due January 2025 prices will jump up to reflect that!
Love your videos but I disagree with some of your comments. You get 2 Robes. 1 male and 1 female so you must be wearing the female one. Who really sits on a balcony and if you do you’ve had a rubbish night. Food is the best I have ever had at any hotel, can’t be faulted. Hotel is closing for 11 months from Jan 25 and agree they’re very dated hence why the hotel are doing them up. The pools/area are the best from any 5 star hotel in Tenerife. I have looked at all 5 stars and nothing competes. You should have shown the pool areas and rooftop pool. Keep up the great vids.
Thanks both robes were tiny . Disagree I think balcony is important if it's a 14 day holiday etc, video soon showing all the hotel it was lovely but not 5 star hope the refurb brings it back up.
You simply need to call room service they will fill up the fridge of course you have to pay that’s life With regards to the marks on the coffee table Go out and don’t look at it!!
It's too dated. The dark scratched furniture and ancient floor tiles are seriously depressing. The room looks like a 3* and the bedding and pillows looks cheap too. I don't think it's been updated since the late 90s. Ritz Carlton and Royal River, for example are genuine 5 star hotels. They are relying on the British boomer customer with no taste and who are happy to holiday in rooms like they did 30 years ago.
Oh Kevin... That's never a 5* It's too shabby and the balcony furniture is so crappy. I'd be really disappointed if I turned up to that. That's just my personal opinion.

Great video kevin ,thanks 👍🏴❤️
I agree totally with the lack of privacy on the balcony, all of your other points were valid too.The furniture marks are unforgivable really.
Great video mate and love the thumbnail
I stayed there back in 2004! Had a lovely stay then, a very memorable time, but it was all much newer of course. It hasn’t changed much.

agree staff lovely, water in room and fridge is a must for me. breakfast video 3pm it was great.
Nice, we had same in Antalya
That’s the hotel I go to on holiday rooms & restaurant is great always get a lounger by the pool
Room looks okay although it's bit tatty definitely agree about the balcony no privacy price not to bad but not 5 stars thanks Kevin for sharing ❤❤
yes more 5 star and 4 star hotels please as a lot of your viewers would be booking 4 and 5 stars
The GF group must get a discount on that furniture, the GF fanabe has exactly the same stuff! The food in the fanabe is good also!! 👍
It is due for a total refurbishment but it’s a fantastic hotel the atmosphere is lovely at night the prices do reflect their acknowledgment of the needed upgrades. I’ve paid the same price for the premier inn in St Andrews! The robes only fit the wanes 😂
No complaints whatsoever. Then proceed to rip it to shreds.🤣🤣🤣
Nice One Kevin.

Doesn't a 5☆mean they only have to have lifts, AC,gym, indoor swimming pool/spa, and a certain square footage of guest rooms? Decorations Doesn't count
Yes Kevin should definitely have coffee tea and biscuits and water for a five star wouldn't like the mirror behind the bed but it looks nice just a bit dated
Confession balcony
Good comment, made me chuckle 😂
Definitely need more privacy on the balcony for sure !! Bit dated like you said but should look good after the refurb ! £125 isnt bad at all for one night 👍🏻

You will have a great time ignore all Kevin’s comments and enjoy if your coffee table is a bit shabby do you really care
@@jamesthurgood8083 cheers mate not expecting to spend much time in the room anyway 😂
The outdated furniture and the ancient tiles looks that its not 5 star hotel room.......but amazing view and just £125 a night, i think just worthy, deffo not bad

5 star in the 80s maybe😮
Back in the 90 it was a 5 star 😂
You’ve come along way from the capsule hotel 😂
Lol a one off Denise
Breaking News, Peter Murrell makes a cameo in a Scotsman in Tenerife vlog 😁
Yes I agree it doesn't have 5 star touches to the hotel room. I believe next year it will be closing for refurbishment.
Great video Kevin looking for some advice. Poised to book hotel in ternerife for start of October 1 week break. Flights seem expensive right now. Would you advise I booked hotel and held off on flights? Do you have any tips on where and when to book cheapest flights?
if hotel has free canx defo book it, flight prices can vary if they are very dear maybe hold off put price alert on skyscanner.net
Thanks kev going to go ahead and book and then put an alert on.
TBH bit dated & agree the balcony has no privacy but would be great to see when refurbished x👍
Is your rucksack allowable as a walk on bag kev? No need to check it in?
It's carry on no fee but border line
Keep that robe n gie it tae the wifey fur chrimbo, sorted.we walk up by there then doon tae Barry’s.well used too😢😮very quite your room 👍rat holes😂😂😂.thanks fur the nosey
Kev, Five star their having a laugh
This needs a makeover for sure. I really dont like the balcony that's the biggest issue for me.
I've stayed here last July. Nice hotel, dated needs a refurb to keep up to a 5 star standard. There isn't anything wrong with the hotel though to be honest all fine, but fine isn't 5 star. Refurb due January 2025 prices will jump up to reflect that!
This guy clearly has nothing better to do I have stayed here several times it’s a great hotel
Don't cry James, he's just giving his opinion and said its lovely. By the looks of it, it is never a 5-star hotel room.
I AGREE keven not a 5 star hotel
No water in the room
But thank you for the video.
Mr Jock - Well you picked the cheapest 🤔 And still never walked up the hill 😢So close yet so far 😞
Lol
No USB socks 😮
The hotel rooms are closing for refurbishments from January next year, 2025.
See Tenerife is introducing an eco tax,Kevin, how dare all those nasty tourists come and spend their money there.

Poor finishing, but nice no doubt but not worth it
IMO this is 3 or 4 star... deffo not 5 but hotel owners love to make up BS to get your money
Scratches all over the furniture
Oh Kevin... That's never a 5* It's too shabby and the balcony furniture is so crappy. I'd be really disappointed if I turned up to that. That's just my personal opinion.
I've seen 4 stars look better than this tbh.
Is that price for two people sharing kev
