About the time next to the purple symbol in the top right, that represents the patience that your customers have. It is increased by having sides, and the more varied your sides are, the more patience that your customers will have.
I second this, I bought the game recently and when I start playing a game I'm like addicted to I like being able to watch others' playthroughs. I NEED NL TO DO IT
SIDES! INCREASE! CUSTOMER! PATIENCE! You don't really 'need' side dishes, so I'm not gonna make any ... Actually strimmer, at 151% buzz you NEED side dishes! Also they give you those little sparkly 'delicious' orders.
It's not actually that stressful, the sides aren't just a "value-add" as NL called them, they also increase the time that customers will wait to be served. In addition, you do get in a sort of "flow" state like NL described. Plus, while the lunch and dinner rushes can be a bit manic, you tend to have fairly prolonged breaks to cool off and rebuild your sidebar content, it's just that the hype counter is a bit bugged in the current build.
You know what this needs for DLC? Picky eaters - "Hi I'd like to order this thing that's not on your menu" "Hi I've got a gluten allergy" and you have to sanitize and clean every item before you use it
I'd like the chicken nuggets, but I'm vegan. Can you just serve me the breadding in hollow spheres and have them grilled in a separate deep fryer that may or may not exist?
I'd love to see a playthrough of this! There is controller support btw. You said there was only keyboard controls. Also, the 11 is your level, not the amount of days ya sprongo. Lots of the bugs described are fixed
I would hate to play this game. This would be hell to me. But watching NL play this and hearing him commentate it like a demented food chain worker is amazing.
This is my game of the year. Please do stream it if you're not gonna UA-cam it. I love watching it almost as I love playing it, and I've been so excited to watch you play.
Ryan Clemons1 just gotta practice your typing skills bud. Just set aside like a half hour a day doing typing exercises, and make sure you're using proper typing techniques.
Do the orders come up automatically? Like do they organize the orders where you're just making them or do you have to choose which order you want to make?
Hey NL! I had a good time watching you play this. Consider an LP? Maybe just a short series, but it was awesome. Also, I bought it per your recommendation.
Wouldn't a multiplayer edition of this be amazing? You could have tasks like delegator, chef, janitor? And then those could be shuffled at a random point during the match.
I hated the holding station mechanic at first, but after a while, it REALLY grew on me, because it lets you skip the first 'cooking' stage of most dishes, and saves you from having to make one million lasagnas in one day.
I got this game not knowing what the gameplay was like, and watching this video makes it seem overwhelming. I don't know if I will even try to play it lol
Fam you should do the tutorial again and learn about the holding stations. Adding side items increases the amount of time they'll wait, so when you get 8 orders immediately, instead of all of them being impatient they'll wait around.
You should do a let's look at for the co op puzzle game we were here with someone from the nlss it would be hillarious to watch you guys to try to solve the puzzles
For some reason I just love fast paced restaurant management games.
I love watching NL play this
holy shit I loved when he played cook serve delicious 1
Hey guys lets all go to the drywall and folding chair restaurant that serves nothing but icecream, cereal, and Salisbury steak.
So... Braum's?
What kind of fucking restaurant serves cereal
Northernlion's restaurant. And somehow he still gets people lining up out the door for him to fill their bowl of cereal.
I need an NL CSD2 series in my life.
Everyone that's ever worked in the service industry is so stressed watching this. I can't
Will Stroud xI think everybody is
Trust me we all are.
Exactly!
About the time next to the purple symbol in the top right, that represents the patience that your customers have. It is increased by having sides, and the more varied your sides are, the more patience that your customers will have.
Just the sausage please
With eggs though. Eggs are on the house when NL is serving.
NL! It's my day off and you're dragging me back to my fast food job x__x
Can you do a LP of this?
i NEED that!
Egg frying himself to please the masses? How can this not result in a series!?
I'd love to see NL do a let's play of this!
If he doesn't definitely check out Baertaffy's
I second this, I bought the game recently and when I start playing a game I'm like addicted to I like being able to watch others' playthroughs. I NEED NL TO DO IT
17:59 oh sorry I gave you dishwasher fluid icecream, I thought you were the dishwasher sir lol.
This is actually great. Love to see a play through
I'm disappointed this isn't called "Let's cook at"
Lettuce cook at
I'm just disappointed in general.
Let's Owl At Cook Owl Owlicious
SIDES! INCREASE! CUSTOMER! PATIENCE!
You don't really 'need' side dishes, so I'm not gonna make any ... Actually strimmer, at 151% buzz you NEED side dishes! Also they give you those little sparkly 'delicious' orders.
this game seems so stressful
so it's the most stressful game
I saw someone in NL's chat describe it as anxiety simulator, and it's fairly accurate.
it's both stressful and chtartic
it is
It's not actually that stressful, the sides aren't just a "value-add" as NL called them, they also increase the time that customers will wait to be served. In addition, you do get in a sort of "flow" state like NL described. Plus, while the lunch and dinner rushes can be a bit manic, you tend to have fairly prolonged breaks to cool off and rebuild your sidebar content, it's just that the hype counter is a bit bugged in the current build.
You need to keep a steady supply of sides. That's why all your people lost patience within 1 second. With sides it takes it up to 10-20 seconds.
I don't know if I've ever been so impressed watching NL play a game. He was killing it.
How NL can play this and talk is mindblowing. I'm struggling to watch and listen and still know what's going on.
I was thinking the same thing. He was doing a great job playing the game while talking about how hard it would be to play the game while talking.
LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
COOK SERVE DELICIOUS 2.We neeeeeeeeeed a series.
this is very realistic. i've worked in restaurants. lines are fucking stressful
Holy shit the commentary for this was hilarious NL!
If anyone's a Jazz fan, this soundtrack features 'The Lick' heavily.
I don't know why but this game is super therapeutic to watch
I know this game about shaving beards...
I can't see how you can possibly find this relaxing, I get stressed just watching it
This was awesome! And to echo a lot of the other comments, would love this to become a series!!
You make more money virtually making burgers than someone physically making burgers.
It's the circle of economics,
And it rips us off...
but coffee also costs $350
You know what this needs for DLC? Picky eaters - "Hi I'd like to order this thing that's not on your menu" "Hi I've got a gluten allergy" and you have to sanitize and clean every item before you use it
alphagamer774 Have customers throw a tantrum that you have to deal with while orders pile up.
So, your typical Californian new-age hippie?
so entitled douche mode?
I'd like the chicken nuggets, but I'm vegan. Can you just serve me the breadding in hollow spheres and have them grilled in a separate deep fryer that may or may not exist?
....Or mash em in the trash. *Whistles innocently*
I missed this NL, please do a playthrough on the second one as well while talking about things, it'll be like a podcast c:
Almost every game he plays is like a podcast (Isaac, KSP, Battlegrounds etc) but thats exactly why i like this channel
Just watch the streams, he usually plays in a manner akin to podcast.
Oh wow, I didn't even know a sequel was in the works. I loved the original game, and I'll be happy to support the devs once again.
The sides aren't for tips, they're to extend your timer per customer. Each customer uses one.
"Yeah, bruh. I need a job, but I'm not that desperate. No way I'm frying potatoes in McD's. Meanwhile, let me enjoy the finesse of some indie games."
Luke Atmey You can work in a hospital doing the same things . More hours with a pension also .
omg please do a series of this!
Please please PLEASE make this a series!!!
Please make this a series, It's fun as fuck to watch.
I would love to see this as a series !!!
Let's be honest, NL likes this game because it allows him to say: a la carte
That coffee description is actually great
Please do a LP of this NL! I missed the first one
It goes without saying, we need a playthrough of this.
Would def watch a series of this.
id love a series of this!!
Why do some of the holding stations not end up cooking?
I imagine NL scaring off his customers by mumbling random letters while putting together their ice cream sundaes
21:01 my exact thoughts whenever someone comes to my work and orders after close.
Does it have the Bacon-OMG combo of buttons as the first one had?
I'd love to see a playthrough of this! There is controller support btw. You said there was only keyboard controls. Also, the 11 is your level, not the amount of days ya sprongo. Lots of the bugs described are fixed
We need a full series of this game
I was just thinking 'when is NL going to do a Let's Look at of this game?' The egglord powers are increasing with each Isaac run
Oh my god I could watch this forever
>NL is a Cook Serve Delicious veteran
>Keeps saying 'A La Carte' when he means 'By The Each'
24:06 those lights make me want to rip my eyes out of my head
I would hate to play this game. This would be hell to me. But watching NL play this and hearing him commentate it like a demented food chain worker is amazing.
This is my game of the year. Please do stream it if you're not gonna UA-cam it. I love watching it almost as I love playing it, and I've been so excited to watch you play.
"Sorry i thought you were the dishwasher for some reason."
I want to play this but my word per minute is like really bad like 16 words per minute when i tested it...shame it looks super fun.
Ryan Clemons1 just gotta practice your typing skills bud. Just set aside like a half hour a day doing typing exercises, and make sure you're using proper typing techniques.
Ryan Clemons1 I'd Say pick it anyways. Game gets insane if you are really good at it, so if you start slow it's gonna be a slow difficulty curve
series please!!
When he started talking about how watching this game isn't stressful, I started noticing how anxious I was getting.
Waited all day for this
20:10 I'm sure you already have repetitive stress injury in your right hand NL
NL's stream of this a few days back was goddamn fantastic.
DUNK 'EM
NL did a stream of this? When?
Do the orders come up automatically? Like do they organize the orders where you're just making them or do you have to choose which order you want to make?
You choose the order
Full series no doubt
SO what I'm getting form this is that Cook, Serve, Delicious 2! is Starcraft without blood.
Hey NL! I had a good time watching you play this. Consider an LP? Maybe just a short series, but it was awesome. Also, I bought it per your recommendation.
Cooked, served, delicioused, I'm yours!
Egg I would love to have an LP of this.
Even tho this is simple game, i found it hilarious especially on the stage where you had too many customers and i vote for a series on this game
This is where NL is a god. Isaac?.. psh no. Virtual cooking.
He has communed with the eggs. They are his people, and he has mastered their secrets.
Take a shot for everytime NL says "a la carte". have fun
If I don't see this on the NLSS I'll be severely disappointed, I've been waiting years for this!
15:40 Anyone else get pissed off when he made the wrong pretzels and then just left them sitting there the entire time?
I'd never be able to play this. My heart would give out..
Can I still just find two sets of easy foods, rotate them every other day, and then float through the rest of the game?
I love this game. It makes you feel like such a badass during rush hour
stressful to play, calming to watch
This looks quite fun, I'm probably gonna pick it up
They still have a Ryan Davis burger in this game, gotta respect the devs. I really miss him still.
FINALLY more cook serve delicious... i'd love to see the first one on the nlss again
Is this replacing flinthook?
wow I totally forgot Desura was a thing
not gonna lie NL kinda like your narration of what you were doing it made me laugh
I'd watch an LP of this.
Shouldn't there be three exclamation marks at the end of 'delicious' in the title?
Wouldn't a multiplayer edition of this be amazing? You could have tasks like delegator, chef, janitor? And then those could be shuffled at a random point during the match.
I hated the holding station mechanic at first, but after a while, it REALLY grew on me, because it lets you skip the first 'cooking' stage of most dishes, and saves you from having to make one million lasagnas in one day.
I got this game not knowing what the gameplay was like, and watching this video makes it seem overwhelming. I don't know if I will even try to play it lol
Cook, Serve, Delicious- I'm Yours!
I'd actually love to watch you keep playing this
Kate definitely told Ryan to play it, I thought
I hope the dev will update the game and adds something like the old campaign mode with food and equipment upgrades, emails, health inspections etc.
Fam you should do the tutorial again and learn about the holding stations. Adding side items increases the amount of time they'll wait, so when you get 8 orders immediately, instead of all of them being impatient they'll wait around.
3.50 since RN on steam!
Loved the first one
Please more. I love this game!
NL went super saiyan at 14:30
I use the mouse not the key bindings and honestly, not sure I could handle it. 151% Buzz, I don't know how you dealt with that NL
You should do a let's look at for the co op puzzle game we were here with someone from the nlss it would be hillarious to watch you guys to try to solve the puzzles
is this replacing LIfe is Strange?
Just Hollow Knight
"Sorry I thought you were the dishwasher"
I Love your voice man
"All right, Mr. Fancy Pants... didn't realize the PRESIDENT was coming here"
