This... this is majestic. 1 hout of finest Das-branded ASMR!
Lol. That's 'DASMR' :)
Another excellent/instructive video per this great game. Thank you, Das, as always.
Thanks Eddie
What a coincidence, i just was thinking about getting into Shadow Empire about a week ago!
I hope this series helps. :)
Thank you for these videos they are so A) Helpful (especially for new content) and B) Enjoyable. I honestly have a hard time sitting and playing without hearing you in the background now lol!!!
I love Shadow Empire, such a great great game! Ty Das!
Purist here :) - Love Tech Level 3 start, especially with the recent early game changes such as furnaces
Excellent tutorial looking forward to the future content. Thanks Das!
More to come!
very helpful, thank you for the overview!
Very excited for this! Inspired me to finally get the game!
That's great. The game is awesome. :)
Thanks for this video Das, reading the manual just isn't same as watching your guides.
I hope it helps. :)
Very instructive video, thank you very much :)
You are welcome!
Excited to hear your new take on this. With the planned DLC though you might be doing this a couple more times!
I love the game so would welcome another run through in the future.
What DLC?
@@danielm.595 there are plans for a political DLC I believe. Not sure on details but sounds like more intrigue, interaction between advisers and major regimes etc I guess.

It's a shame that this game doesn't have a tutorial. Vic's previous games (primarily the Decisive Campaigns series) was ok to play with just the manual IMO. But I found this game to be mechanically much more dense than those games, plus you don't have the benefit of being more "guided" by the historical context of these games. Shadow Empire has a much bigger focus on sandbox gameplay. Also, I love it when games receive so much support from the devs, but the changes to the mechanics also make a classic manual a bit more difficult to use due to the ever-changing nature of the mechanics.
I think the only way to have a tutorial would be to have a saved start. But then the buildings and units are changing a lot it would need to be edited each time. The planets are just so wildly different - which is why the game is so good.
Thanks Das. SE has been on my radar for a while but I've not bought it due to the complexity. Looking forward to this!
It is complex but I find I don't need to keep re-learning it when I come back to it. Some games you feel you need to re-learn each play through.
@@DasTacticI do share that opinion, I've played it somewhat when it became available, and then did so a couple of months ago after a long time of neglect and I only had to learn the new things whilst most of what I knew still works fine
There's one thing you should always do: always evaluate the map when staring a new game. ::)
Yes. There are a lot of parameters that affect your gameplay.
The maritime dlc makes the game very different.
It does indeed.
Some things in this game i really does not understand. Theres a river in the city and you need to build a ice mine 48 km away...
Did you put one of your videos on private per chance? Coincidentally, I was looking for one of your videos where you explain the logistics systems and I couldn't find it. Now I'm getting some Mandela Effect vibes and started questioning my own sanity.
My channel got hacked and I need to go through all my old videos to make them public again.
pH 4 being a little acidic rain? Ick! I do not want to know what sort of pollution you have down under!
(Oh and pH 7 is neutral. Though, Seawater is at pH 8.2 on earth during pre-industrial times. So slight alkaline. Now is pH 8.1 due to acidification. Just as a comparison)
In relation to Australian averages.... is normal
The average rainfall in Australia is more acid than industrialized areas in the northern hemisphere (Europe and North America). I don't know if this is necessarily due to "pollution", you would need to consult an expert on the subject. There are several factors that contribute to this, I think certain decaying plantlife, etc.
@@robinmattheussen2395 you can't deceive us, we all know all the planets in Shadow Empire are just different places of the Australian outback...
Interesting. I hadn't realised that sea water was alkaline.
@@AlessandroRodriguez That would actually make for some amazing lore.
