Sauravis negates inherent special summons. Like, things that don't start a chain (such as Diabellstar, all Kashtiras, and Extra Deck summons like Xyz, Link, contact Fusion, Synchros, etc.). You couldn't negate the summon of Trishula because despite being considered a proper Synchro Summon, it was brought out by card effect and not the game mechanic of actually synchro summoning with materials. Sauravis' negate is pretty much like Solemn Judgment's summon negate, if you wanna compare it to something.
Sauravis can negate certain summons that were made by starting a chain link. Stand-up Centurion is a good example. Although it starts a chain link, the text says: Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro summon 1 Synchro monster". It technically separates the summon from the effect. The effect resolves first, and then the summon happen. So you CAN negate summons that were made by card effect if, and only if, the text separates the summon from the effect itself.
Saurabis can negate special summons but not effect that allow you to special summon. In other words, a special summon that produces a chain cannot be negated by saurabis effect
Sauravis denies all invitations that do not generate a chain, in that case it is not possible because the ice barrier in the cemetery generates a chain.
At 14:00 why didn't you send herald? I feel the line was Diviner send herald, herald search Skull Guardian, prayer to summon by tributing Diviner and lo and all 3 will trigger.
