Yes, I've been to Three Sticks Monument - what a beautiful area!! The campsite looks great. Nice truck too!
Leah and I have stopped by Three Sticks a few times. Nice swimming spot. Like the new truck. Greet video, Mark.
The monument is not too far from my hometown of Mena, Arkansas. I visited Three Sticks several times as a child and have driven by it many times. I do remember my great aunt and uncle drove us youngsters through there in the late 1960s or early 1970s. I also remember they drove us a little further north on US 259 to the small community of Big Cedar. When Kennedy was running for president in the early 1960s he flew into Big Cedar in a helicopter and made a campaign speech impressing many of the locals. The area is isolated and big time politicians will seldom if ever stop in such places. Although this area was not his typical political base, President Kennedy won the hearts and minds of several generations of Arkies and Okies.
That's some pretty neat history. I bet that was a big deal back then. I could see why folks there would vote for him.
Nice place to camp there Mark! I was up in NE Oklahoma at the Natural Falls state park , it was nice but a small park. I drove to North Little Rock to go see the Big Boy 4014 steam train, it was stopped there overnight. The country is so nice out there. I love your new truck man, looks really good! Take care, safe travels!
Looks like an Armadillo.
Been by it many times. I camp up in Winding Stair.
I've been through the Winding Stairs area. Beautiful country down through there.
I like the new truck! We’ve got a 2020 F-350 dually with the 6.7 Power Stroke. It’s a hoss!
I'm loving it so far. I added rear air bags and a rear hell wig sway bar. Drives great. I'm looking forward next year to head out west.
@@DispersedCamperManYes, sir. Since we have a Lance 1172 we added Air Lift 7500’s but being it’s a dually we didn’t need the bigger sway bar. You’ve got an awesome rig!
Kind of looked like an Armadillo the way it moved, must have been a young one. I live in Cedarvill, AR now but am from Mena and have been to the Three Sticks monument before, beautiful country!
I haven't spent to much time in that area of Oklahoma. I will be back there to check more of it out for sure.
We used to fly hang gliders off of 3 sticks. We would remove one of the guard rails in the parking area to launch
I could see that. The three sticks in perched up on top of a mountain. That would have been neat to see.
Congratulations on the new truck, very nice 😊 I’ve been to the monument before but I don’t remember all the graffiti 😔 such a shame, that and trash. How do we teach the younger generation to appreciate what we have 🙏🏻
Armadillos usually don't move that fast, but they can if needed. I was asking about the range.
I’m guessing an armadillo. Nice spot and the road ain’t too bad. Little overgrown but I’d fit. Nice truck, hope you got the extended warranty, they can be pricey to fix.
Thanks 👍I'll be back in that area sometime in the future, really like it there. I don't get warranties. They were offering a 100,000 mile warranty for $7,000. LOL I said no. My F250 I put 200,000 miles on her and I wouldn't have used even near the $7,000 in the first 100,000 miles. Majority problems happen after the 100,000 mile mark. I had no major issues with my F250. I'm expecting the same out of my F350.
Possum.
Definitely worth the wait for your video ! Nice looking truck , I am sure that you will enjoy it .
May I ask , what kind of video editor do you use ?.
Thanks. I've been using Filmora for the past 10 years. I got it for a one time fee of $60. I think they charge monthly now for it.
You need to explore Oklahoma a bit more. Most of eastern OK is far from flat.
Put that controller onto an old fashioned heat sink with dielectric grease and or an old school PC fan
There was no ventilation to that box it was in. I drilled some holes in the front/back/top of it to let the heat escape and air in. It's doing good for now.
Don't you worry about alligators in that water?
There ARE aligators in the area. A good sized one was found in Broken Bow lake. They are in the little River west of there, and in Red Slough south of there.@DispersedCamperMan
I like the new truck ! Your videos are not only entertaining but very much appreciated. Thank You
Glad you like them!
