Bijnor railway station currently has three rail lines and three platforms. Rejuvenation is being done under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The construction of the station is in progress. Now the work of laying railway track has also started. Till now the length of Line No. 1 is 512.9 meters, which will be increased to 947.34 meters.
The length of Line 2 is 458.60 meters, which is now ready to be increased to 787.444 meters. Railway Line 2 is being bypassed from Nagina Gate No. 59 by crossing Railway Gate No. 60. Not only this, this is the longest line of Bijnor railway station. Whereas the length of Railway Line 3 is 316.30 meters. Which is being increased to 743.434 meters.
These two new lines are being laid at the station
New tracks of railway lines four and five are being laid at Bijnor station. This will help in shunting of trains and passing of express trains through the station. According to the information received, the length of Line 4 is being increased to 422.17 meters and the length of Line 5 is also being increased to 422.17 meters. Line five has been named the Goods Line.
Bijnor railway station is being renovated on the lines of big railway stations. The construction work of a two-storey building has started at the railway station. The length of the building being constructed at the railway station will be about 80 meters.
A two-storey rest house is also being constructed near the station. Rest house is being built for the comfort of ministers and officials. The length of the platform is being increased by 221 meters. At present the length of the platform at Bijnor railway station is 398 meters. Now the length of the platform is being increased to 619 meters. At present the train runs at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour. But now there are preparations to increase the speed of the train to 130 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, two pond parks and a simple park are being built. Trees and plants of many species will be planted in it.
Car parking arrangements being made near the station.Till now there was no car parking arrangement near the railway station. People park their cars here and there. But apart from the railway station buildings, two car parking are also being constructed. In which there will be arrangement for parking about 40 vehicles. Due to this, people will not face inconvenience in parking their vehicles.
Preparation to connect Bijnor to Delhi by rail
There are preparations to connect Bijnor with Delhi through railways. Survey has been done twice before for laying the railway line. But now again Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has asked to connect Bijnor with Hastinapur, Meerut, Delhi by rail.
If everything goes well, Delhi will not be far away, because now a railway line will be laid from the district headquarters to Meerut via Hastinapur to improve the traffic facilities. The survey of Bijnor-Hastinapur-Meerut rail line has been completed. Not only this, DPR of this project was also prepared. Moradabad division has prepared the DPR and sent it to the Railway Board. Work on this track is expected to start as soon as the green signal is given.
The demand for laying a railway line from Bijnor to Meerut has been going on for two de
cades. Till now people have received assurance only about the rail line. But there is hope that the dream of laying a railway line from Bijnor to Meerut will be fulfilled. A budget of Rs 2.58 crore was approved from the government level for surveying the Bijnor-Hastinapur-Meerut railway line. The survey of Bijnor railway line has been completed. After completion of the survey, the DPR (Detail Project Report) of the railway line from Moradabad division has been sent to the Railway Board. In the survey, the length of Bijnor-Hastinapur-Meerut railway line has been measured to be about 63.5 kilometers.
