They set the atmosphere so well in this movie. The way it's shot, the sound design, the music choices. I felt it was a little weak on character development, but I think the story is more about the atmosphere anyway. Reminds me more of a horror movie than a war drama.
You can't look at this movie and judge it by today's political climate. ALL movies and TV shows are from alternate universes. Judge the movie for what it is, not what it isn't.
Even with a vest, it hits hard and it hurts like hell! I know, I am former military. You are down after a hit and bound for the hospital! Broken ribs and a possible debilitating injury is high. Death by trauma is common even with a vest on. The pain is overwhelming! Yes a vest will save your life depending on how and where you were hit. A lower back shot is lethal. Vest or no vest you are done. The impact will shut your system down. Death is not the end of life. That I know from experience! War is hell and life is hell on this plane of existence. Not so on other planes of existence. You are multidimensional and much more than you are here on this planet. Secrets cannot be kept forever!
This movie reminds me of why we are here on this rock. Regardless of your political or religious beliefs, this is more than just a movie. It is a real possibility! The separation of Lucifer from G.O.D. (Government of Dominion) was a political move. Lucifer thought he could create a better reality but he had a limit. This Earth was all he had to work with after God blocked all further life creation in this physical universe. Lucifer could not break this because like politics, he was bound to the law even if he opposed it. How do I know all of this? I am former military Intelligence and it was my job to know this. Regardless of what you might think, the powers that be are at war! UAP`S are part of this. The truth is so far out that it had to be kept secret less the enemy find out what we knew. The public was in no way ready to deal with such a heavy topic so we kept it all secret! God has been trying to take this planet away from Lucifer but we have to reject him as well before it can happen. That which is beyond us is not beyond us but a part of us. The paranormal has always been laughed at not by mistake. By design! If we were to grasp the whole picture, Lucifer and his dark paranormal forces would be shunned from this world by popular demand (which falls under the creation code as rejected) and God would then have control of our world. What a paradise it would be if that happened! You have to be in touch with the other before you can get intel like this! Christ came to educate and inform us but then the dark forces attacked and he was crucified. His suffering was the demonstration of his intense love for us. He did not fight back but allowed it to happen as a military move to defeat the dark forces and recruit more like him to fight. We have sorely fallen short of the fight that was hoped for. Because of that, we have suffered for thousands of yrs from the wrath of Lucifer and his minions. Now, we have a new idea. Fuck Lucifer and fuck the NWO! Finally we are ready to fight. What took so long?
I think the president is fascist in this world, so CA and TX basically put their differences aside to go against fascism. Florida is its own alliance, separate from TX and CA and the US. Florida is most of the confederate states, Texas and CA are mainly the Southwest and a little boat of Midwest. And surprisingly it looks like The Northwest and Upper Midwest is its own thing and possibly in an alliance with China. So split in 4 but mainly a battle between The Western Forces and the US which is mostly the East Coast and Mid East at this point. And Apparently Hawaii is with the Northwest Alliance and China and Alaska is with the US still, which is surprising because I would have figured Russia would’ve just taken it back during all this, very interesting world but not impossible as I do believe fascism is a good enough reason for CA and TX to team up.
Truthfully i could see states trying to secede from the united states. A california, texas and florida alliance is which one of these three dont belong.

I thought this was a good watch. Probably watch it again this Independence day.
