Recently on an extended weekend getaway, we thought to fly down to Trivandrum and explore our stay.
Taking a sneak peak among Kovalam and Poovar Island, We zeroed upon Poovar and this property.
Guess what, this turned out to be the best leisurely holiday.
Luckily the instinct of not choosing to stay in Kovalam played well.
Please note that We have not explored Varakala.

Observation: Kovalam only if you want a little market exploration but not beyond 2 nights at max.
However if you like leisure, beach front, back water, then hands down it is Poovar Island.
The best beach facing resort in Poovar Island - After careful shortlisting, We found this beautiful place Estuary Sarovar Portico bang on the back water of Kerala getting mingled with the beach.

Hey Murali the resto offers a buffet & a-la-carte both during lunch & dinner. Each buffet is priced around INR 1400 & A-LA-CARTE has combo meals around INR 500 for one. Hope this helps
