Naughty she may be, but also such a sweet pea. No matter how bad my mood maybe, I always have a smile for Poppy.
Not naughty at all, it is her nature to be busy all the time, building, searching for food etc....
Where can you get prairie dogs from?
Nowhere. Wild animals should live in their own habitat and with their own kind. Poppy was adopted from a wildlife shelter as a baby, probably mom was killed and she would die if left on her own....@@dimitriberozny3729

Poppy is one of my online therapy animals, and she's not naughty. Like if the president does something it's not illegal, if Poppy's doing it, it's ok. 😄🥰

Chewing through the hamper is an old prairie dog trick. Mine did that as a warm-up to gnawing through a set of luggage to nest in the small carry on bag.

So glad to see you post the not so fun & easy side of caring for a prairie dog. Maybe people won't rush out & buy one based on cute factor if they see how much work is involved in their care. Only for the extremely patient it seems.

It’s not legal (in most states) or humane to buy a prairie dog or keep them as pets. They are not domesticated. Very early in Poppy’s life, she wasn’t given the opportunity to learn how to be a prairie dog in the wild, so she couldn’t be set free. This is a unique case.
This has got to be one of the best videos of 2023. I watch Poppy’s channel, but have not seen so much naughtiness on it! She’s totally adorable and so very pampered. I look forward to a 2024 of watching Poppy with her new brother Paxton!

Poppy would have left a horrible mess chewing on a pen and a tube of paint!! Ink and paint are horrible to clean up. Sure am glad she is watched a lot! lol!

No matter how tired and cranky I get, there's Miss Poppy (and now Paxton). Her not naughty, just expressing the pure sweet funny rodenty Poppy essence of love that she is. A ray of light and laughter in the middle of everything unspeakably horrible going on in this world. The two of you are such loving parents. AND soft-spoken - I can watch y'all anytime. Late at night to fall asleep uplifted, EARLY morning to start the day with a smile...loving Poppy is part of a few things I do to be good to myself - I have major depression, etc. I just cannot look at her and not smile and giggle and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thank you for sharing this little angel girl and her baby bro with all of us. Such sweetness.

I've known & 'followed' Poppy for just a few weeks. She never fails to make me smile & giggle & "PoPpeEeeEe" in sync with Mom or Dad. The other day, I caught myself doing the Poppy Call out of the blue, and for no apparent reason!
