    When chhatrapati sambhaji Maharaj captured vasai to goa region people asked permission to demolish the churches but chhatrapati sambhaji Maharaj denied and said we are against the Invaders and not against the god or their religion . Therefore now we are able to see the Portuguese churches even now and many of their architectures .
    He was a fearless king as his father who fought moghuls, Portuguese,Dutch,British,siddhis and never distinguished people on their castes and class .
    The book "SAMBHAJI" by vishwas patil is I ask the viewers to read

    Great video, you manage to find quite hidden gems!
    I had a question, which you may be able to answer. Trying hard to find a remote spot with no light pollution where I can see the milky way in Maharashtra. I'm not sure if it's even possible since there's so much pollution. The only conclusion I have come to is to go the Himalayas, haha!
    Do you know of any such sites? Preferably something under 200-300km from Mumbai and not much trekking as I want to bring my family along too.

      @GautamKhetwal  6 років тому +2

      thank you very much, milky way can be seen through clear skies and high altitude places. in Maharashtra you can see milky way fairly but with long exposure shots one can see it clearly. one needs at least a around or more than 1000m of altitude to see it. from western ghats it can be seen through high vantage points. since you do not want to trek much and want a family trip, the best place is Naneghat which is under 200km and low light. It is a place for star photography and you can drive all the way up till the plateau, so you can even take elders. But still you will need a very clear weather to see the milky way.

      Thank you so much for the valuable info!
      We were able to clearly see the milky way. Not to mention the countless amount of stars.It felt surreal! Thankfully, there were zero clouds obstructing our view

    You mentioned that the fort was used for trading of horses which isn't right. The structure of the fort is like a horse back after which the fort was named
    Second incorrect mention is with regards to the small room under the bastion(you mention as a store room). It is believed that it was used as a rest room for the guards at the bastion...

    Thank you so much. I stay in mira road and had visited this fort few years back. I had not been to the bastion because of the thick vegetation post monsoon. This place is so beautiful. I really hope MBMC tries to restore it and erases those shitty i love you defacings.
    Thanks for the video!
