    Good stuff. I have a recreation team, so things like this run very differently, but I think it's important to offer the challenge and show structure so time is used well.

    Cool mate, it will help the players get used to passing the ball faster because they will be used to doing it during training, nice

    Just some observations. CHALLENGES are good for Guided Discovery. Challenge them Who can perform it the fastest? Or Who can perform the most touches of the ball with BOTH feet etc. This will engage them to work faster without fear..remember they will focus on the Challenge and not failure. Then into pairs or teams where they work in relays and players waiting their turn perform sits on the ball etc

      When they dribbling to the middle and turn halfway to pass the ball, that’s the turning part. And receiving is when they receive the incoming pass to dribble it to far end 🙄.

      did you get it?

    • @bentalbot5786
      @bentalbot5786 3 роки тому

      You must apply through an international governing football body, so like the FA England, you can book online. Note that depending on which body you go through will be the license you receive, so UEFA License is Europe which would probably be the strongest

    Rubbish drill. When in football do you use that technique, receive a pass, and go straight back the direction of the pass. Where are the opportunities for the kids to receive the ball with different parts of the foot, turn in different directions, to start looking for space when they are receiving, and then make decisions about what they do next. These kids are very young, but they can already be learning those skills and techniques with drills that are less formulaic or regimented. Quick feet skills can be developed through free dribbling with moving obstructions in a tight space, encouraging players to keep their heads up when they dribble and to use different parts of the foot; oppositions players never stand still in a line like a bunch of cones. This training belongs in the 80s.

      SDCLFC1 I dig you man. Let the game be the teacher man. Don’t make young people learn through repetition man or by practicing techniques without any opposition in a structured way. Like, when my son tarquin needed to learn Shakespeare when he was 3 years old I just left him in a room with a copy of hamlet and let him discover. I didn’t need the alphabet man and he didn’t need repetition to learn the basic technique of reading. Doing the alphabet is soooooooo boring.

      You think you know it all don't you?

    • @SDCLFC1
      @SDCLFC1 5 років тому +1

      @@TheCoachingManual Because you don't learn to read by being taught the alphabet. You learn to read by experiencing books and sounds and reading. What is the point in kids learning to control the ball, back the way it came?

    • @SDCLFC1
      @SDCLFC1 5 років тому +2

      @@soccerkidsibiza6584 No, but if you don't like my argument, it should be no problem coming up with one of your own.

    • @TheCoachingManual
      @TheCoachingManual  5 років тому +6

      @@SDCLFC1 I mean seriously. You don't learn to read by being taught the alphabet?? Every time you receive the ball with a defender behind you, you go back in the direction the pass came from, you don't turn every time, because you'd lose the ball. It's not a turn if you're not going back in the opposite direction. Giving players structure and repetition is crucial to allow them to develop the correct technique for the next part of the practice which looks at applying the technique with opposition. If they aren't taught the correct techniques at a young age, there is a risk that they will never learn them. Too many coaches toss sessions off ignoring the development of technique because, in my opinion, lots of modern coaches don't know what the correct technique is supposed to look like, because they're not taught it on courses. Sessions like this also help players develop good training habits and become very coachable.
